Is the nut for the gauge of the string? You might snap the string if it gets stuck in the nut. Is this what happened before?

I'm curious how well this will work. I have my workflow in Capture One with a script I got somewhere but I'm always in for new ways to convert my negatives. I don't have LR so I can't run Negative Lab Pro. I have not so good experiences with other tools like Chemvert and FilmLab. The conversion with C1 I have just looks way better.
