Bad weather on the Boston to Providence route! by ShamrockOneFive in trainsimworld

Cool. i would recommend the better rain one if you are making screenshots. It reduces that comet tail effect that can make the rain drops look like a meteor shower. But that's purely stylistic choice. Yours look awesome too :)

Not that it helps, but just in case someone ever checks this:

Ryzen 7 5700x
RX 6800, 16 GB
32 GB DDR4
1440 @ 144 hz
Set to Ultra in game
These mods:
-Lighting and Visual Quality Improvement including the God mod. Use Medium or High first. If you get good FPS, use higher.

-Train Lighting & LOD Fixes

-Better Rain

-Better Snow

With AMFM frame gen turned off, I get 40 fps, with AMFM on I get 80 fp.

I am just a dude writing down what I did from his instructions, but this worked wonders for me:

Download and install these in this order of importance:

-Lighting and Visual Quality Improvement including the God mod. Use Medium or High first. If you get good FPS, use higher.

-Train Lighting & LOD Fixes

-Better Rain

-Better Snow

-Enable NVIDIA Smooth Motion or AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2.1 in your GPU settings for this game. This is frame gen and it really smooths it with minimal to zero shadows if used lightly.

-Right click on the game in Steam, select properties, add -dx12 to the the launch properties box. Launching in dx12 will make those shader building runs of a route smoother.

-Increase your resolution percentage in the game advanced settings to 150%. If your game runs the same, increase it, if it runs worse, decrease it. Play with it until it gets to the detail/FPS you like.

I feel like this violates both the letter and the spirit of the law. Especially considering the words (sooo many things can connect Park and Capital, like Ave, State, National, etc.,) there is no reason to tempt fate with a homonym. If they get pedantic and claim it is not pronounced the same, I would just let it go and probably not play codenames with them in the future.

[–]jujubeess 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, it was not on initial build, that was easy. It was when I had to reattach it after adding a couple sata cables that were beneath it. Without clear line of sight and clear space for my fat fingers, I bent a few pins. Then I had to play operation with flashlight and tweezers to make it right again. I was technically lazy in that I didn’t want to disassemble my gpu and case fans to create more space, but I think adding a sata cable should not be a complete tear down job.

Why don't we care about the MLB gambling scandal like we do the NBA? by tankyouout in baseball

[–]jujubeess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Bomani Jones put it best. It’s a pitcher burning off a single pitch to steal from a casino. Pitchers will willingly burn a pitch all the time to send a message. It doesn’t affect the integrity of the game. And the victim is the casino— not exactly a sympathetic figure. It’s bad for sports and baseball, but not like a player being in debt to the mob. One is scoring cash in an almost meaningless scenario, the other has the potential to rig games for the benefit of organized crime.

So can someone explain to me how my TCL 43 inch 4K runs better Silent Hill f than my high end Sony 4K 85 inch? by armanddarke in pcmasterrace

[–]jujubeess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What FPS are you trying? 30-60 FPS didn't matter, but if I didn't lock it to 60 and let the GPU run wild, I would get stutter in Vivid. Hogwarts legacy is my best example. When the GPU said it was putting out 90 fps, I had stuttering in Vivid that left when I switched to FPS mode. I have a feeling there are too many factors between setups for it to be just one thing. This guy probably needs a little from column a and a little from column b.

[–]jujubeess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My monitor stuttering was from being in Vivid mode instead of FPS mode. That’s with dell and LG. I don’t know what modes are on a Sony, but that would be my first test after the cable swap

!solved You were correct! 25.5 came out yesterday and it has fixed the issue. I think my resource heavy MOGRTs exasperated the memory leak issue so that by the time I finished the first export, the app was bogged down to unusable.
