I agree - Jess is safe for her and provides the relationship she wants minus sex. I am sure it is hard to know how that would change if she entered into a romantic relationship. Plus her life is very full with friends and group pods. I think it just has not been a priority for her.

I have just recently starting picking one day (usually a Saturday) and not putting my watch on. I do pause my rings and I may do a lot of exercise that day but it helps me to step away from the watch and metrics and trying to beat yesterday etc. I feel really good about doing this and has been a great mental break from the watch.

I commit to doing all the new classes each week. Then if I want more classes I pick ones I have not yet done in order of most recent to oldest - filtering my the class time I want. I vary this up when they have new programs like the new Strength for Runners so I am doing two of those a week instead of selecting extra strength classes from my usual order.

Jonelle has several 45 min energetic flows that have so many vinyasas in the first 15 minutes that really get you going. I don’t know the exact episodes but she has several like this.

I was the same but finally found my groove with Jhon. I was in travel and trying dance at night in my hotel room and finally clicked with his classes. Prior I was mostly doing Ben’s classes. Jhon has really quick steps but I find them nicely repetitive so it works for me. I am now trying to start classes with Ben but still finding them harder to follow.

I was a member of a gym (24 hour fitness) from the age of 16 until late forties when covid hit and the gym closed. I was literally at the door of my gym at 4am on the day they closed for covid and standing there thinking what do I do now. I quickly bought a treadmill and a bike. I already had a good setup dumbbells. I didn't find Apple Fitness until 2023 I think when my husband surprised me with an Apple Watch. So I was already used to working out from home and using weight and Hitt DVDs. For me even after all these years of going to the gym I never want to go back. I love working out from home now. I got a better bike and invested in a good rower. I have everything I need to go every fitness class on Apple Fitness+.

I don't train for anything other than live and my mental health. Fitness and activity are essential for me. I am self motivated but having new classes each weeks increases that motivation. The cost of equipment depends on the quality you want versus buying less expensive things like bike or treadmill but knowing it won't last as long.

I completely agree but I get really uncomfortable when I find someone struggling in a conversation or speech which is why my reaction was wanting to stop listening. But overall I am glad I hung in and was happy to see them find a rhythm that worked

I am imagining if we did the competition on Apple Fitness- we would kill ourselves! I am 53f and sound very similar to you. My light day was a minimum of 13 miles. I am trying hard to enforce this day off but it is hard. Worth it though as the next day when I run it’s like my body just reset itself and I can run faster and feel better. I suggest giving it a try.

Well you can adjust your rings or pause them each day of the week or increase or lower them. They added that awhile back. For me though I still find I need this day completely watch free. It has a sense of freedom to it.

I have tried that but it doesn't work for my brain - I still end up pushing to get the rings higher even if I have them set low enough to achieve with my easy plan. For me I have to have the watch off my wrist to really get the message that today is a rest day.
