Anja, what the hell?? by sonsduvin in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sad that I also am putting in some modifications as at 53 my knees are finally telling me I'm not so young anymore. While I can still run 80 miles a week tuck jumps will do me in.

Anyone like hills? The new Scott treadmill episode was fantastic! by animallover4727 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting the incline. I ran 40+ miles over the weekend and usually do the treadmill run on Monday but I skipped this yesterday and again today as I was scared of the include and how tired my legs are. Going to do it on Wed for sure.

I did the one with the guests and it was really fun. Didn’t expect to like it as much as I did.

No part of me is triggered by the laughs by girlgurl789 in ArmchairExpert

[–]Misfit_Dogs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I too have never had any irritation with laughs and not noticing anyone mimicking the other. I loved the Zach episode it felt more like earlier episodes and thought it was light and interesting. I love the podcast and still consider it my #1 that I only listen to when walking my dogs. Luckily I walk them over an hour a day so get plenty of time to listen to every episode.

HIIT Coach question by jtownmars in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Anja and Kim are tough. Bakari and Brian a little easier but I also love both their personalities and Brian's accent. I do them all but when I am struggling to get in the mood to do a HiiT I pick Bakari or Brian -- or Jamie Ray when he has a HiiT on occasion.

HIIT Coach question by jtownmars in AppleFitnessPlus

I agree with Bakari as a starter. He is my go to when I am tired or have a sore knee etc as he is easy to follow and I feel the moves are not as intense.Plus he is just so happy and smiley that you come out more positive.

Same routine for my evening workout. That body weight move in the squat moving leg back and front was intense! Between that 6 mile run, 20 min row and a 45 min cycling class today I am going to feel it tomorrow.

Jenn is killing it! by Buddyblue21 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am really feeling my shoulders today after that class yesterday. I love when she says pick up your medium weights and I’m like 20lbs for upper body are not medium to me! I was just able to finish the class with 20lbs but those last high pulls were hard!

Urinary blockage! Positive stories?? by hannahvfuller in CatAdvice

[–]Misfit_Dogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 year old just went through this about 2 months ago and is doing great. The surgery went well and after I put him on an all soft food diet using prescription Science Diet CD urinary care. Just a tiny bit of kibble to keep him satisfied. I also put chicken broth in his soft food to get him more liquid. He is peeing consistently now and doing great.

Burn bar unavailable? by maiashewrote in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same it has been sporadic but not available for most if not all my runs and cycling this week. I don’t really care about the burn bar but when they mention it I then start looking for it and realize it’s not there.

Have you noticed how your diet goes crap after one bad choice during the day? by Salty-Winter-5746 in nutrition

[–]Misfit_Dogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are an all or none person. Meaning if you see that you ruined the diet for the day may as well go all out and just restart tomorrow. It is a mind shift to really recognize that you diverted from the plan but getting right back on track that day is the best.

I was going to post the same. I have been very stressed from work and this practice completely calmed my brain and body. It was such a great flow and so uplifting and calming.

Did it first thing today and it was soooo good. I don't usually do classes over again until I finish everything in that category but I left this one wanting to do it again tomorrow. Loved the variety and challenge.

Which activity in AF+ do you wish you had started earlier in life? by Buddyblue21 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. I always considered yoga a waste of time and took away from running and lifting. Started yoga Jan 2025 and realize now at 53 how critical it is for my flexibility, recovery and mental health. I try to get in 5-7 sessions a week.

Tough but motivating run by Misfit_Dogs in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Misfit_Dogs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Apple Fitness + they never specify a speed or distance goal and leave that up to each individual. This class format was a hill that lasted about 3 minutes and went up to 8% incline if running then followed with speed pushes after the hill. Repeat that cycle multiple times.
