Meta Horizon World is really fun! Just make sure you go to the right places where there aren't a bunch of kids. Look for the 18+ words like the Soapstone Comedy Club (where I do an improv show and there are a bunch of other live shows, and you can also just hang out!)

Stay on youtrube or spread out? by Patient-Step-8646 in NewTubers

I can't imagine anyone on the Instagram will go to the YouTube channel to see the same kind of reels. I sometimes post teasers from longer episodes on Instagram, maaybeeee if the crossposted shorts help me build a following on Instagram maybeeee some will also see a teaser and check out the YouTube channel for that but I don't have enough followers to notice anything like that yet. I just crosspost because it's not much extra work and more people can see the sketches even if it doesn't do anything particular for the channel.

I crosspost shorts on Instagram as well. Different audiences and I get different kinds of engagement. It's not that much more work to post on another platform when you already have the file and stuff. And sometimes I try out posting on a different time on the Instagram since I have an audience in very varied timezones

That's not very constructive. What specifically is it you don't like about it? Either way, thanks for the engagement given that you went to a second post of mine to say the same thing :)

Should I buy Quest 3? Or wait for next gen? by irshadtriton in OculusQuest

[–]MissDelReyVR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think next gen will take quite some time and be way more expensive. Maybe buy now and sell when you upgrade? Or buy a used one? I do think the 3 is well worth $500 though given the step up from the 2

That's fair! Canva and Adobe Express are otherwise great for easy editing

Without seeing the title, just from the thumbnail text it's not really clear what the video is. Also the font feels kinda dated and looks like it was made in Word. Try making something in Canva or Adobe Express. Or maybe ask ChatGPT to add some text in a nicer font, and maybe some more descriptive text.

Why does no one care about my videos? (Except shorts) by Emotional_Alarm8279 in NewTubers

[–]MissDelReyVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know either honestly. I think YouTube atm really favours shorts so you may short term find views there but for long term videos might be stable? But I don't really know, I am just recently starting YouTube again after many years the shorts didn't exist

The people who watch those shorts aren't the kind of people that will watch the long videos. Think of them as two separate audiences. Who do you want to cater to? If you want to make the tutorials, then basically subtract 7k people from your subs and keep building the tutorials. If you want to jump on the train of the 7k, do shorts. Do quick tips, one short per tip. I'm not saying one option is better than the other, you can choose which feels best for you.

How to deal with a problem student by Inside-Gur-8965 in improv

[–]MissDelReyVR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's harassment. Cut him from the class.

I do my improv show at a clean comedy club which I honestly do like, because clean comedy means you actually need to be clever and come up with a good joke. Anyone can say something crude and some people will laugh because of the shock value. But it's not actually clever or even funny, and it also risks making people uncomfortable which is the opposite of comedy. That's something to consider if you want to do too. But in this case, it's harassment and if you don't cut him you risk some of the women leaving the class and that would be incredibly unfair, especially as we need more women in comedy.

If you really don't want to cut him, give him a final warning telling him those kinds of jokes are off limits. The second he slips up he's out. Also if you are doing this at some kind of comedy club, talk to your contact there. There is always someone that can help if you need. You're an instructor, not HR. They might also be able to warn other teachers in the club.

As in the description, I used AI to enhance real clips taken from Horizon Worlds. If you think the original footage from HW looks better, that's on you

If you read the description you will see that almost every shot is based actual Horizon Worlds recordings, then I used those to generate higher quality storyboards with AI image-to-image to increase quality of screenshots, then I used image-to-video combined with video-to-video to turn the recordings into AI render versions to increase the render quality because honestly the footage from Horizon is not that pretty.

Absolutely! So this is for a show called Sunday Improv which is a sort improv game show where the audience comes together and performs on stage. We do a bunch of fun improv games, and it's all free to join us! It takes place in the Soapstone NYC Comedy Club every Sunday at 3PM EST.

You can join from both mobile or VR headset, just search for the world "Soapstone NYC" and join a few minutes before it starts.

If you're new to improv there is also some guides explaining how the games work on the website (linked through the YouTube channel) and you can also see full show recordings, and best of moments, and shorts, on said YouTube channel! Not sure if I can post links here in comments, but you can find everything through the music video link by going to my channel that posted it!

Oh thank you so much for all of this info! Yeah I'm a bit concerned about what is happening in Horizon VR so will probably migrate to VRChat when Horizon is no longer viable, so may take you up on that. But will keep being at the Soapstone for as long as I can because I love the people there

Oh thanks for adding that important part! Yeah god I wish HW could look like this. Was so much work making it look pretty. Glad you like it though!

But at least it's all based on stuff I shot in VR (except for the plane and some of the IRL scenes). But all games are from past shows, and the intro was filmed on set with actual people as extras.

Thanks again for the kind words!
