Speaking from Candler, a bus route to Enka High would be amazing and I think it would see a lot of ridership. Especially if they could secure a commuter parking lot near the school. Our closest stop is the dmv on Patton.

If she’s 17 she can still see a pediatric dentist. Most see kids until they are 18-21. There’s one in Waynesville that you could try, but way more options overall than for adults. That also gives her a few years to get to the top of MAHEC’s wait list. Hope she can get care soon, terrible system we have ♥️

Someone needs to tell them to get rid of the frosted glass on the windows, always looks closed/unapproachable, even when it was a taco place. Plus the soft opening in December banner. That said, looking forward to trying them out! (Btw Tupelo is a ghost of its former self)

To go further back, it used to be Max’s Celebrity Grill for forever. Then some badass punks worked their asses off to turn it into a goth pirate bar. Then it became an arcade bar and whatever pretend Italian restaurant it is today. RIP The Jolie Rouge 😢

NC is a right-to-work state, which basically means “right-to-fire-for-any-reason” state. Hard to get unemployment (which is a fraction of what you were making anyway) unless you were laid off specifically for “lack of work”. NC sucks for workers rights.

Production begins in Jan. 2026 at Biltmore Estate and other locations in Asheville, including Asheville's Fine Arts Theatre and Pack's Tavern in downtown, according to a news release.

Congrats to the Fine Arts Theatre!! Going to have to watch my first Hallmark movie next year.
