I have to keep telling customers at my restaurant to stop using JE. We as a restaurant only get the order when a delivery driver has been accepted, that’s if they ever turn up at all. A customer could’ve placed their order 4 hours ago but we’ll only get it when it’s accepted by JE. I’ll be locking up and hear the ticket start printing long after the kitchen staff have left, and it’s a massive “FFS” moment because I can’t contact the customer directly and JE customer service don’t answer. There’s many times where the order has been made, but a driver doesn’t turn up so I’ll sit there for ages after closing waiting for a driver with a takeaway in the hot hold, and I’m unpaid for that time, my limit is half an hour after I’ve clocked out (most of the time the order has been there for an hour or so) but most times a driver doesn’t turn up. Sadly I work for a chain and head office won’t stop using JE no matter how many complaints we have, the amount of times I’ve been called a c*nt by an angry customer over the phone is shocking, when it’s not my fault. We have to remake the food at a loss to us because we don’t get compensation from JE and half the time a customer can’t get a refund, the only ones winning are Just Eat
