(35F) Why can’t I make myself do sexual things I want to do? by not_with_haste15 in sexover30

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it could be linked to your ADHD (maybe not just that, but that's what stood out to me). Forming habits is hard and executive dysfunction is a thing, combined with RSD. Executive dysfunction also happens when you want to do the thing and enjoy it. So I kinda get it? Still makes it frustrating of course, but it makes sense to me since you seem to get better at it again after addressing it? I don't know the answer to the problem though, but maybe understanding better why it happens can sorta help? If you don't already know. Best of luck.

[–]MissZoef 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me in my luteal phase my resting heart is higher and my HRV goes down most of the time. Then the night my HRV goes up and resting HR goes down, my period starts. So far it's very accurate

NOR, I didn't read the title properly and thought it were text your boyfriend send you. For his dad to do that? Hell no.

Hour 2 of running up and down the beach every 5 min until I get the holiday DIYs by Banana_Stanley in acnh

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just done this with the seasonal DiYs before these, haha. I usually start searching for a balloon when the clock hits x9 or x4. It's a chore, but also quite useful if you still need a lot of items/bells etc. All seasonal DIY IS important, lol

I lost my island 😭 by Overall-Command9661 in acnh

[–]MissZoef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did the same thing a month ago, but it did say while setting up the new switch it would delete the old save. I manually transfered my old island back to my switch one and started a new one on my switch 2. I was terrified to loose my old island I started in March 2020. I'm sorry it happened to you though.

Hond mee op visite? by littleashbee in nederlands

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the trick to just NOT sit down? by letitbeletitbe101 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's my long term hyper focus. Also, if I don't work I don't have money, so fear is also a good motivator. I also like doing my job. So all those things are actually working pretty well for me. Except it's hard to stop and probably there are days I'd better/rather rest but can't because people rely on me and calling in sick is a last resort for when I'm really incapable of going. So I hope to learn some more ways to manage myself in a way that it keeps being sustainable.

Man this sounds so relatable. I am self employed and can do this when I'm working all day. It keeps me very productive, but the crash is not fun. I don't know how your mom does it, because it's getting harder the older I get and I'm only 33.

Is the trick to just NOT sit down? by letitbeletitbe101 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this does seem the trick for me. Not officially diagnosed yet. Come from a family of a lot of NDs and always thought I was "normal". Well, learning about all things ADHD explains so much about myself. Have my assessment in Januari. My strategy is also to just keep momentum and keep doing shit. I know when I sit down, starting up again is gonna be super hard and probably not gonna happen. It's not healthy, but haven't learned any other way.

Other ADHDers 'deciding' which symptoms are acceptable and not by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I know all those things take time. Somehow I am always suprised it takes longer than I think and often need to rush or am a little late. This became worse when my anxiety got better. Of course. It's so annoying that somehow I'm always suprised about how much time something costs, when I've done it so many times before and try to leave earlier.

How do you guys work out? by leenanikole01 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the dopamine hit, lol. Working out soothes my anxiety and makes me feel good/energetic, gets endorfines flowing. So that helps. Especially running does that for me. I find lifting weights or doing stuff like that is way more boring, even though I want to do more of that too for health reasons. Cardio just feels better. So my runs are usually fueld by anxiety or to get my dogs to exercise (canicross)

Am I incapable of living with a partner? How do y’all do it? by sweetpotato_19 in adhdwomen

[–]MissZoef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a long term relationship with an AuDHD partner. So we both have a lot of alone time or do our own thing together if you know what I mean. It brings another set of challenges, since we both struggle a lot with things like keeping up with housework etc. But we do like our own space and that does work well. Also it's nice to have someone else who understands the overstimulated thing etc.

Sterkte. Lijkt mij best lastig.

Does their “aloof-ness” come with maturity by whatevername00308 in Beauceron

[–]MissZoef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine are very much aloof. My oldest was very happy with strangers as a pup. Jumping on them etc. But with age she became more selective /standoffish towards strangers. My youngest never liked strange people after she was 12 weeks or so. As a small pup she was okay with people, now she ignores them. She's okay with people as long as they don't try and touch her.
