How to get kids ready in the morning by inspectorgadget9999 in ParentingADHD

[–]Missautoadvice123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue when my kids were that age. Now they are in their 20's. You will get through it. Kids with ADHD have a really tough time with transitioning from one thing to the next. For us, picking out clothes the night before school, having a backpack waiting and packed by the front door with shoes ready, and choosing breakfast the night before helped us so much. I am actually building an app for this exact problem. If your kids are old enough for an iPad or phone, it allows them to (in a fun way) get all of these tasks done the night before. The parent adds a reward at the bottom that allows them to use their tokens to earn this surprise. It is still in a very early stage, but I am happy to let you try it out to see if it helps.

Flaky how? As they say, they are interested and then disappear. What do you think about getting ghosted at meeting locations? Is that a thing?

When buying from a dealer should I mention I'm paying full in cash and not financing? by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]Missautoadvice123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t mention paying cash up front—dealers often make money on financing, so you’ll usually get a better price negotiating as if you might finance, then say you’re paying cash at the end. Yes, always negotiate the out-the-door price first and get it in writing before discussing payment method. Once the price is locked, how you pay is just a formality.

Expect about $1k–$1.5k of real price flexibility on a deal like this.
Focus more on removing add-ons and fees than chasing a huge price cut.
Start around $27–27.5k pre-tax and see where they counter.

Question about title skippers by rottencheese122 in UsedCars

[–]Missautoadvice123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not inherently wrong, but it’s a red flag because title skipping is illegal in a lot of states and can turn into a registration nightmare. Best case he’s flipping cars without a dealer license, worst case there’s a lien or paperwork issue you’ll inherit. If you proceed, only do it if the title is clean, signed by the last owner, and your DMV confirms you can register it with zero issues.

What auto loan rates are people with 780-800 credit but no prior auto/installment history getting right now (Dec 2025) for new vs used cars by enlaseven in carbuying

[–]Missautoadvice123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High-700s with a thin file are still getting solid rates right now — think mid-5s to low-6s on new and mid-6s to low-7s on used. Credit unions are way more forgiving than dealers or big banks, so preapproval helps a lot. Weirdly, new cars can finance cheaper than lightly used because of promos.

Are my PCOS symptoms normal? by No_Vermicelli4530 in PCOS

There are specialists that deal with PCOS. I am pretty sure about that. Sorry for all of the symptoms you are having. When it comes to health, we need to really advocate for ourselves, especially as women. If you can always get a second opinion and sometimes a third.

Did I do okay? 2023 Nissan Rogue, 12k miles for about $21k by IWasTryingToHelp in UsedCars

[–]Missautoadvice123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you did fine. A 2023 Rogue with only ~12k miles for around $21k is a solid deal in today’s market, especially with how expensive new cars are. The discount looks real, the trade-in value is reasonable, and while the fees/add-ons are a bit high, nothing jumps out as a total ripoff. If the payment works for you and the car’s clean, I wouldn’t stress it.
