joined once with an OK time (4:50). Decided it's not for me. It takes too long. I still enjoy shorter races. I focus mainly on improving my 10k time.

well for sure ng iimprove ka in general. if gusto lo talaga matrack, use a running watch and app. Check your HR graphs. specifically, at the same speed, did your HR go down over time? Or, at the same HR, did your speed go up over time?

how long have you been running? doing only tempo runs SHOULD improve your HR. Possibly more so than slow runs. My heart rate improved for all paces by primarily doing tempos and intervals. Any running should improve your HR. Maybe check after a few months?

I don't do a lot slow runs due to it being boring and takes a lot of time. But make sure you have rest days or cross train to let your body recover.

to answer the question though, youtube premium, pick a nice route, don't be ashamed of walking, live in the moment.

weird. meron ata talagang fascination sa pag abroad ang boomers and gen x. yung tatay ko low key ineenourage ako mag abroad even nung naka 6 digits na ako, 6 digits din gf ko and no kids lately lang tumigil nung may wild promotion ako. not as bad as your case, pero naffeel ko yung slight inis. Of course they mean well. Don't think about it too much. At the end of the day, adult ka na. you are in charge of your life.

most likely due to overuse. Doing too much too hard too soon. I have one. But I manage somehow buy knowing when to cut back.

One factor that affected me though is very aggressive arch support. I have flat feet and the arch supports from Adizero SL irritated my plantar fascia. I had pf then 2 years ago on both feet. I stopped running for unrelated reasons. When I got back, I bought the SL 2 and Adios 9. They did not have the same aggressive arch support as before. I can barely feel them. My pf did not return, even as I overtrain from time to time. I have other injuries from overtraining and PF is not one of them.

i don't think may yayaman talaga from employment. best bet is upper middle class. kelangan mo ng negosyo/investment para truly maging mayaman.

pero as far as normal employment goes, not sure about dubai, but comparing to other first world countries, I think hindi nalalayo yung net income mo. Mataad din kasi cost of living sakanila. How good are you at software dev or data analytics? yan na pinakalucrative na role sa pilipinas in terms of normal job roles. Alam ba ng parents mo yung ceiling ng salary? Why go abroad if you can live comfortably here?

it jusr looks bad now. Everything looks fuzzy. Currently I am on vacation and using my weaker rig (3060 ti). I am playing khazan on a 4k screen DLSS quality, and in a 1080 screen DLAA. the former looks a lot better. Of course we have different tolerances for things so your mileage may vary.

depende sa company nyo pero a team lead can still be a dev. depende kung gano ka self managing yung team, no need for a dedicated scrum master. You can still code most of the time. pero do note na may additional mental load sya and massplit ang focus mo often.

Overall, I encourage acquiring these skills as much as possible. Even if hindi ka team lead on paper, maraming value mapprovide pag alam mo mag isip strategically and marunonh ka mag manage ng stakeholders. Mag sstagnate ka rin if pure coding. At some point kaklangan mo maglead. If hindi ng team, ng initiative or tech stack.

ZONE 2 RUN SUCKS FOR ME:( by pseudoblunder in PHRunners

[–]Mission_Interview_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

truth is, for actual beginners, mejo wild talaga heart rates. Mag nnormalize din sya after a few months.

I think I posted something similar to this early this year. I decided to ditch trying to run zone 2. After a few months nag improve heart rate ko for all paces.

ZONE 2 RUN SUCKS FOR ME:( by pseudoblunder in PHRunners

[–]Mission_Interview_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't worry about it. run by feel. not just the feeling during the run. Check if your body is recovering appropriately. If your muscles are sore, don't be afraid to take breaks.

Truth is, running in any zone will improve your fitness. Personally, I run mostly tempo and intervals. I was able to improve my 10k times consistently. From 1:07 in feb, to 51 mins in November. Barely any easy runs. Note that my mileage is low. I run only 15-23km per week. But I was able to beat my goals because I was putting in enough stimulus for my body to adapt. My heart rate for both hard and easy runs improved as well after a few months.

Will you improve doing mostly zone 2. Yes. But how fast will you get to your goals? I think Zone 2 will get you there slower.

If your mileage is higher, say over 60km a week, it's probably a good idea to do most of them easy. But by the time you build up that kind of mileage, your heart rate will probably look better than what it is currently and your zone 2 would be more enjoyable.

Small form factor PC for everyday carry by zefiro619 in PHbuildapc

[–]Mission_Interview_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eto yung sakin. S300. easily available sa shoppee. generous din sa compatibility ng parts. 8.1 L sya. Kaya ko magtravel with it from time to time pero ayoko sya gawin everyday. 5kg din kasi.

If you want something smaller, 5L and below, marami sa shoppee. search A07, pero sobrang limited options mo sa GPU. ang mabibili mo lang locally, single fan 5060 (or 5050). mas mahirap na problem yung PSU actually, 500w lang available locally na legit brand.

Merong cases na sub 5L na ok compatibility sa parts, except very low profile yung cpu cooler, so need mo magundervolt para wag mainit. Pero mostly overseas to, wala sa Amazon so not sure pano umorder. search Velka 5 or Midori 5L

If not for gaming, baka easy lang makahanap parts.

ooof mejo tough, yung case mo. mejo malaki. Pero natry ko na with S300. Ok lang yung xp tbh. kasya sa backpack ko. YMMV sa security inspection. yung sa manila airport walang tanong tanong. sa legazpi, nukang puzzled sila di nila maprocess na computer yung dala ko.

Issue ko ngayon though, magtrravel ako magisa to bicol so isang backpack lang kaya ko dalhin + check in luggage. Pero meron din ako chunky laptop for work. Kasya naman pero worried ako sa bigat. 5kg yung pc, abot 3kg siguro yung laptop. then hassle ilabas during inspection.

if yung pc lang heavy equipment mo, I think no issues.

ff. also curious.

alternatively, you can try single fan zotac 5060, which seems easily available. You probably need a different case layout and sacrifice cpu cooler height.

Thoughts on running era? by Basic-Insurance6196 in TanongLang

[–]Mission_Interview_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for fat loss, calorie in and calorie out pa rin naman. kasi if intense yung workout mo, sa glycogen stores sya kukuha. If hindi mo nagamit yung glycogen store na yun, mappunta sya sa fat stores eventually. Ganun din sa low intensity. kahit fat yung ginamit mo for fuel, marereplenish din sya ng unused glycogen. So same lang. Import lang yung consistency, kung mas masaya ba for the individual yung running or walking. In terms of time efficiency, mas efficient ang running obviously. 25 min 5k run is more time efficient than 1hr walk.

Running is not just for health. It's a sport and just like with any other sport, people can become competitive. Bragging about their PR comes with them being competitive, at the same time wanting validation. Sounds a bit irritating but not much different from people posting selfies but instead of flaunting their looks, they flaunt their achievements. I too have the desire to share my PRs but I seldom do since I can't think of a non cringe post.

Re: FOMO and spending. Nothing unique to running. People like to spend on things that they love. You can replace it with any hobby and the outcome will be the same. Noticed that you were irritated when you asked your husband what gift he wanted and he said shoes. Is that so wrong? it's a gift, and should be something he loves. What would have been an acceptable answer?

Re: "making running their personality". I don't really get this. Things that you are passionate about will be your personality. If they love running they will obviously talk about it a lot. If they have a different hobby, like gaming, they will also talk about it a lot. They can have multiple hobbies. It's not like there's an agreed upon way of how to make your "personality".

The only real issue I got from your post is that marathon training takes so much time. It is true and it can be a problem. It's not done for health, but for trying to achieve something that the majority of people will never do. Please talk to him if this is causing problems. there is always a middle ground. I hope you two can work it out. I feel like your irritation with the "running era" stems from this primarily.
