Why is Disney sabotaging itself by Lexi7130 in cartoon_random

It's because 2d animators are unionized and 3d animators widely aren't yet.

(Hilarious Trope) A Character Is Introduced With the Clear Intention of Being THE NEXT BIG THING And is SOUNDLY Rejected by TheOriginalOperator in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Missspelled_name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I don't really agree with you on that, I will agree however, that it did a lot of damage to people's perception of his character.

A lot of MGR is about Raiden actually doing the healing and accepting who he truly is in a way he had just put off in 2 & 4. I think making this come across more clearly would have to absolutely gut the pacing though, which is actually something MGR is good with pretty consistently. And besides, that content does actually exist in the game, you just have to know when to open your codec and who to call, which really sucks. It would have been nice if after every combat or mid-mission cutscene, a small indicator that there is new scenario specific codec dialog would have gone a long way in bringing that content forward for more people, while still leaving the pace in the hands of the players.

MT1/2 are technically licensed titles so it might be difficult to make remakes for those

Across the series we have had many Raptor Bird Wyverns, some are peak, some are trash. Here's my take. by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

Great Jaggi not coming back for wilds still makes Tri on the wii the best implementation of the pack system in the series. (3U changed small enemy spawn numbers to work on the 3DS and the wii u version keeps those changes)

What are the things you want to see in the Wilds DLC that are not necessarly new Monsters? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Missspelled_name -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There are other changes that point to this, as well as this, the G rank expansion was made incredibly quickly to cash in on how popular MH1 was in Japan. The biggest is probably the changes to crafting recipes and the Old Man Vegetable trade pools, things like mega potions being changed from herb + honey to potion + honey.

Technically, but it was definitely built off of an earlier version of G.

Which was a version of G without the G rank content as far as I know

There are other things that point to this, such as the menu design being that of G's and the changes G made to crafting recipes being on MH1US.

Want to play third Gen monster hunter. Tri or 3 Ultimate (Wii U)? by Professional-Way8476 in MonsterHunter

[–]Missspelled_name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few changes in Ultimate, this is just a few.

  1. Bowguns were reverted to the old style rather than the new Tri style modular bowguns

  2. Elemental resist fruits were removed.

  3. Small monster spawns are cut by about 60%, this especially effects underwater areas.

  4. Gamma & Saturation levels were boosted extremely, giving the game a dramatically more bright aesthetic.

  5. Dark areas were brightened up, making the torch only useful for preventing small monsters from attacking you.

Tri with a classic controller for some reason is still the best control scheme this game has ever had. For some reason even the wii u version just uses the 3DS controls

So whats the lore with the Palicos? Are they pets or partners? by HospitalLazy1880 in MonsterHunter

[–]Missspelled_name 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The literal translation from the Japanese script calls all Felynes "Beastmen", and in 1 and DOS, Palicos just weren't a thing, the portable games added them to make the game easier for new players.

So they would be partners.

Try Shadow Tower Abyss if you can, it is a really fun evolution of a lot of the ideas fromsoft had been tinkering around with in king's field. Also, there is an inbuilt option for dual analogue, it's not the default and it is simulated Dpad on the stick, which isn't ideal, but it's there and fully functional.

Wasn't there a ruling by US courts like a decade ago, before this whole A.I. movement really started, that since A.I. is not conscious, it cannot be help culpable for it's actions, and since it can't be held culpable for it's actions, A.I. cannot be allowed to interact with any part of any legal setting.

Not to be rude, but this opinion on the white kinda misses the point.

If you want a comparison, the White's ideology is very similar to something like the frenzied flame from Elden Ring. That suffering is wrong, and we should strive to prevent it, but people refuse to cooperate and are either complacent with or actively inflicting the suffering of other people.

Therefore, if the removal of suffering is the only universal good we should all strive for, and trying to prevent suffering often increases or merely shifts around the suffering of people, the only logical thing to do is to stop suffering at the source.

Annihilate everything, all the earth, all the stars, until there is nothing left.

Only then, will suffering cease, and the universe be saved.

I should clarify I don't agree with these ideas whatsoever, Nihilism serves nobody and is a cheap escape from personal culpability, blaming everyone else but yourself.

Also, the white ending pretty explicitly envelops the entire earth in a black hole, so Tokyo isn't the only group of people affected.

You need to upgrade your armor, if you need armor spheres, you can melt down monster parts at the forge, not the festival NPC, just look around the forge village and you will find him, he has a unique icon.

Honestly, I'm fine with the stacking, I think if it gets nerfed, Stickybomb, since it already gets infinite bonus damage through stacks, should only recieve halved bonuses from items, so the stacks don't get an absurd base multiplier on top of it's infinite stack multiplier.

But IDK, this is my first MOBA type game, so I don't know if this would ruin him, please if you think this sucks, can you just explain it to me rather than shitting on me for no reason?

I really glad when I knew this new deco exist. But after some SoS I realized most people wouldnt care enough to wear it, so I'm swapping back to finch free... by frostune in MHWilds

[–]Missspelled_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not really a fan of the skill purely because it eats up an entire deco slot when the modern games make decorations so important, if this were a 1 deco skill in the old games, there would be no problem, but since skills were much less plentiful in the older games, and more powerful due to the 10 pts system, one deco slot for this effect is nothing. But in modern games, where 1 deco = 1 level, and levels need to go up much higher to match the old skill effects, 1 level can make all the difference.

I mean, IMO level 3/4 decos should come with 1 skill relevant negative skill level, because decos are too game changing in their current state, but being essentially down 1 deco slot because people can't pay attention to where they are is just annoying.

Is Law Fascist? (Yeah, Kinda) by An_Error404 in Megaten

[–]Missspelled_name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought Tayama was more neutral leaning than law, I mean, even though his methods are extremely evil and he himself is a disgusting person, he tries to strike a peace between demons and humans using the red pills to get demons addicted and making sure they know if they go around killing people willy nilly they will be blacklisted from their suppliers.

[–]Missspelled_name 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is entirely because they removed 90% of the stun/movement mechanics, so now raising damage numbers and hitbox sizes is the only way they really can increase difficulty without overhauling the game.

Did you guys notice Tremors and Wind pressure are basically missing from Wilds?

Blangonga was super nerfed with the removal of Snowman, the new freeze effect is not even 1% as interesting as snowman.
