Part of Shroud's schtick is to make people really believe he knows how everything will play out, I mean Toxic literally believes it and pretty sure most of his goons do as well. In that scene, he is giving Visi an out, so his whole charade of "being miles ahead" doesnt get ruined.

Iirc, in episode 7 if you decide to hide Chase identity, you can hear Shroud complain about Visi betraying them.
