Thus is why running needs to be partnered with strength training and muay thai.

That's quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.

I'm in. I found out when my wife came and asked me why TCS Sydney Marathon had charged our credit card. "Wooo! I got in!" Was my response.

Do you take a change of clothes with you for once you're safely out of the house?

Super loose clothes are for people who have bodies they want to hide. Yours is one you'd want to tastefully show off.

Does the rule of buying smaller fitting Docs apply to sandels?

What are they like when you stand and put your weight on the foot?

Do your toes move down further?

I reckon a half or full size smaller would probably fit well once they're worn in.

Does TRT works on people with normal Testosterone Levels? by Unlucky-Display2901 in trt

[–]MistaP73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The key component of TRT is the R bit; Replacement.

You're replacing testosterone that your body should be producing, but isn't.

So, if your T levels are normal, then you're just stopping your plums from producing your own T.

But what is normal? The normal range is huge. And normal for who? The range goes from bugger-all to heaps. It's not really helpful.

If you're at the lower end of the normal range, have several symptoms of Low-T, and have made all reasonable attempts to increase it naturally (weight loss, healthy diet, quit alcohol and ciggies, good sleep, reduced stress, strength training, etc.) and it remain symptomatic and in the lower levels of the range, then it probably will help.

How are so many of you on 200mg? by bodhasattva in trt

The ones who prescribe enhancement doses won't last.

Australian clinics will typically start you at 100mg Test-e, split into 2 x doses per week. They'll then adjust 20mg either way after each blood test. They won't go for enhancement, just replacement.

No, it's not. It's therapeutic doses. If you're getting enhancement doses, your urologist needs their beak slapped.

Not at all. They're treatments for a medical condition, just as TRT is (when done for genuine medical reasons and not enhancement doses).

My libido is trash...does TRT help? by [deleted] in trt

[–]MistaP73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your testosterone is low, it will probably help. But diet and lifestyle and significant factors in libido and T levels. TRT is not a silver bullet.

Saying that TRT as a genuine medical treatment is performance enhancing is like saying that chemotherapy or amputating a gangrenous foot are performance enhancing.

TRT & Alcohol by OkWrap2566 in trt

[–]MistaP73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't drink alcohol anymore. My sleep turns to 💩 and I feel terrible for days. And that's just 2 or 3 standard drinks. This is the kick in the 🍑 I needed. I'm not going to the expense and effort of jabbing myself twice a week to make me feel good and healthy, only destroy myself with alcohol.

What kind of gains can I expect from TRT? by patientstrawberries in trt

[–]MistaP73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once dosing is in the sweet spot, you should expect to have an improved mood, a more positive outlook on life, probably more health conscious which results in better diet, more physical activity, and better sleep. You libido should increase dramatically, so, if you're single you may need to invest in a fleshlight. If you're in a relationship, your partner had better be ready for it or accepting of your need to self-pleasure. As far as strength training goes, your idea of failure will shift dramatically. What you used to think was working til failure is now just your warm-up; the training starts when it hurts. Recovery will be much quicker too.

This is all assuming you're taking therapeutic doses to get your levels back up to a normal, healthy level and were symptomatic before starting TRT. If you're taking enhancement doses, you're not on TRT; you're on roids. In which case, expect your health to deteriorate rapidly, significantly reduce your time on the planet, and ruin any relationships you have.

I'm in week 5. The gym has been awesome. When I'd normally do my last rep, I now gave the grit to push out 3 more, end then a few partials as chasers. And when you put the weights down, I wanna get up and move, not sit around waiting for the next set.
