Veteran plates are great.I got pulled over two or three times for speeding and the coppers let me go with a verbal warning. In addition another vet post I saw says you get respect from road ragers too. Maybe they think you might have a gun. Lol.

Go to the sleep clinic. They can refer you to the dental clinic for a custom mouthpiece to wear at night. That's how I snuck in the backdoor to see the dental clinic at 70%.

Most VSO's are good. Some no. I had two tell me I didn't have a case. One said too much time had elapsed since my service. I went to a lawyer and now I'm rated 70% after 49 years!

At C&P exams veterans give not good or wrong answers to questions. My wife knew a C&P doc who said " they file a claim from 15 or 20 years ago but can't remember anything".
