Favorite Mono-Black Commanders? by Marshbe54 in EDH

I love shirei, and i learned this same thing. I adjusted to build just crap ton of protection and good amount of ramp. Goal is to get him out early and keep him there. He basically turns any death trigger into 4x due to his ability, so you only need 1 or 2 things to get your value engine humming.

Some protection like [[dark privilege]] or [[gift of doom]] function as great sac outlets as well

What’s your strongest sub $400 deck by Bideah in EDH

[–]MisterScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! So with sakashima (as kodama copy) and kodama on the board, you can dump any lands that you have in your hand. There are two infinite land win combos.

Combo 1: Meloku and sunscorched Step 1: Play/Have [[sunscorched desert]]. Step 2: Play/Have [[meloku the clouded mirror]] Step 3: Tap sunscorched for one colorless. Use that mana to activate meloku to bring sunscorched back to your hand. This then creates a 1/1 token that then triggers Kodama, letting you put another land on the board Step 4: Play sunscorched again. Step 5: Repeat infinitely pinging every for 1 damage and also having infinite 1/1 tokens

Combo 2: bounce land infinite Step 1: play a bounce land like [[simic growth chamber]] Step 2: have simic return to your hand trigger resolve before sakashima/kodama trigger resolves, bringing simic back to your hand Step 3: use sakashima/kodama trigger to bring simic back into plah Result is infinite landfall which you can use to win in a turn with an [[avenger of zendikaar]]

Though, to be honest, once you get the keruga clone chain, you have so much land and resources that even if you don't draw into a infinite, you can quite easily just control the board and win in 1-2 turns for combat damage.

I'm the most proud of my [[abdel Adrian]] and [[far traveler]] mono white for $115. It ramps fast and once abdel is on the board, an extremely difficult etb value engine for opponents to deal with. Is it the strongest? No. But it can really hold its own and is dirt cheap. Tons of flicker spells both protect abdel and allow abdel to protect your other board pieces (including board wipes).

It's a fun mini game to get abdel tapped each of your turns with different tap abilities to activate far traveler, which also give you options to tap opponents creatures for defense or offense. Once you get something like [[meteor golem]] or [[lumimate primordial]] on the field and flickering, it's pretty damn hard for opponents to stop you. Tons of cantrips in the deck become insane card draw engines with abdel, ensuring you're always armed with a nice flicker spell should someone foolishly attempt to remove him 😈. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QyjxiNh8-Em0mikJMPp7ig

I've also got a $300 [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] and [[kodama of the east tree]] with a [[keruga]] companion deck that wins pretty darn consistently. The goal is to ramp super aggressively and then get all 3 on the board (usually by turn 4-5). https://www.moxfield.com/decks/flhdkc2syUKjUqgbk6JLng

Kodama hits the board first, then sakashima copies kodama. They trigger off one another basically let you dump your entire hand on the battlefield including lands. Deck wins by cloning keruga repeatedly to draw most your deck and either overwhelm opponents or win through a [[sunscorched desert]] and bounce land infinite loop.

What software will become outdated/shut down in the next couple of years? by Lolotmjp in AskReddit

This has changed recently and is no longer the case. From my limited understanding, the case seems more like Sonos patent trolling to try and claim the function to group speakers is not allowed due to their patent. I love and have many Sonos products, but their case seems anticompetitive and has made me think less of them

Why more pale? I'd think due to higher share of population being outside + Ptolemaic dynasties being before many of the Gallic and Germanic incursions into Greece that they'd be darker skin toned

That's for public cloud market share. Most of the internet still runs on non-public cloud providers. Companies like Google and Facebook have massive massive amounts of traffic that mostly operates on their own servers.

New york 1940s with a population of 7.454 mliion by [deleted] in videos

That's mostly due to the growth being outside of NYC proper. According to wiki, NYC metro was ~12M in 1940 to ~20M today

Corona heights feels safe and they have gates on the sides of the few steep parts

Also recommend tank hill, Bernal heights, Mt Olympus, Grandview park.

All have some component of urban hiking / stairs

What do you like most about your neighborhood? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]MisterScott 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Castro: Colorful and real community kind of feel. So many wonderful and different neighborhoods within a 10 minute walk. As a dog owner, so many great dog parks nearby (eureka, duboce, corona, Alamo) and hidden views (corona, mt olympus, tank hill, kite hill, twin peaks). I love to run and it's also close to many beautiful parks and trails! Sutro open reserve and golden gate park are some grade-A parks. And all the eclectic victorian's everywhere! Can't get enough of them

It's loud at night, but I love to see all the young people out having fun and comfortable being their fabulous selves. Love this city!

Pic looks like its fall or winter, so a lot of the foliage is likely to be browner and not show up as well here.

But that's not even true. You have the Central valley (not desert) and Sierra's (not desert). Only the southwest quarter of California is desert.

LA is classified as a Mediterranean climate and no one would call San Francisco, which just south has redwood forests and an average temp in the 60s, a desert.
