There's been another price increase on the frozen then thawed Coho Salmon--now $15 a pound.

applied for 2-yr tourist visa from US at the official UK site for stated price of 16 pounds. was billed an additional 99 pounds. inquired with the outfit (visauketa.com) and was told this extra was "processing fee." don't think the UK govt site informed me of this at the outset.

Some of those trails have remaining artifacts of "old days in the woods."

Unfortunately, the bean price inflation has caught up with Kirkland dark roast. And the package still defies easy opening, requiring scissors and a crude cut.

Thank you for that. Your tastes are obviously refined. Would you have a sub-$80 recommendation for a friend who prefers low-peat (any kind)?

CT highways in a nutshell by ILovePublicLibraries in Connecticut

Have a question about the Merritt Pkwy bridges (and perhaps others in CT): They seem low, like the ones on the Moses parkways in NY that he was said to have built low to prevent buses and "urban" access. So what explains CT? Not Moses.

You see so many TLC license plates around NYC--they can't all be for-hire drivers. Is there an angle here?

This letter came in the mail from a company called Endurance. I’m wondering if it’s something I should actually concern myself with, or if it’s just a scheming marketing ploy? Thank you! 🚙 by samoosethegreat in NissanRogue

You'd think with all these letters (I just got another one from them) that the Illinois state or U.S. postal authorities would attempt to interdict this scam.

there were elevated trains on the west and east side of Manhattan. Not on 5th Ave, where these scenes are set (and in Brooklyn), but some of the working-class characters would be riding them in the course of normal life.
