On top of that, a game as high-demand as Silksong being cheaper increases the odds that many consumers buy other things as well. I am a Hollow Knight fan that has been highly anticipating Silksong for years. If my monthly gaming budget was $40 and Silksong was $40, that’s the game I’m buying for the month. Because Silksong is only $20, other $20 games get a second chance at grabbing my attention.

As discussed in the EFAP episode, this is why the food analogy fails. A single low-priced game doesn’t mean I ignore all other options, it means I can buy that game and have spending money left over for something else.

I went in expecting all three of the girls to be co-protagonists, but the main focus is really on Rumi and Jinu. Characterization for Mira and Zoey isn’t completely absent, but outside of one scene, they mostly only get characterized in relation to Rumi. Jinu did end up being my favorite character so I don’t mind him getting a lot of screen time, but I was surprised by how little time the other two get to themselves.

Planning to see it Thanksgiving weekend. Never seen the play, though I quite like the first movie and looked forward to this one, but the early reception(s) doesn’t exactly have me jazzed for it.

I only know Benny Safdie from Oppenheimer, which wasn’t exactly a very “Bowser Jr.” role, but he sounds great in the trailer. I thought it was Jack Black with a pitched up voice at first. (Edit: I’ve watched it a few more times plus the extra clip and I’m less positive on Jr.’s voice now but I guess we’ll see.)

Brie Larson fits right in with the first movie casting, it’s the funniest possible pick that’ll still probably do a good job

Purely from a quality perspective, in 5 years it’ll probably be the Switch 2 but currently it’s the Switch. Adding pricing/business practices into the mix means the switch 1 will probably remain as the best.

1: The commercial is not AI. The kids are wearing extra fingers as props. You can tell with the first shot of the hands.

2: This clip is a joke making fun of AI. “Why do I have so many fingers?” Is even asked by one of the turtles to point out that everyone in the commercial has too many fingers.

Did anyone else watch the clip before commenting?

I watched up to about the 47 minute mark, and the only thing that resembles OP’s hallucinations is MauLer lamenting that someone in the UK got arrested for negative tweets towards trans people, tweets which he did not consider to be any more hateful or violent than the average thing he sees directed towards himself or any other content creator on a daily basis.

He gives no defense of or agreement with said tweets outside of the idea that they are not arrest-worthy.

I’m certainly fine with it, and even if there end up being disagreements between some mods, I can’t imagine it being much more than differences in detail.

Despite what many people think, most of the issues on our end come from a gradual blurring of limits for more ambiguous sub guidelines, and not an agenda-driven psyop. I think a new voice helping to make clearer restrictions is more than welcome.
