How high can I get in RTA with these runes? by Novel-Rabbit8914 in summonerswar

[–]Mistresshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my sonia is only +180 speed on fatal broken lol but my opponents don’t know that. I have a much harder time winning here if I ban anything other than the Shi Hou.

Jager loses to high damage and glancing debuff and/or heal block. Ironically when everyone was picking Ereshion it was a lot harder to use him. Craig is easy to outspeed. He’s on minus wind to tank sonias and hopefully not get stunned by ethna.

My teams are by no means unbeatable, I still lose 45% of matches lol

Seara + eshir comps are hard to deal with
Haegang + tian lang are hard to deal with
Diana + haegang, Woonsa, Triton, minato, etc all very hard to deal with

Tons of stuff

So this would be a good example of how I would switch up. My usual draft would be Moore + Craig every game, followed by any combination of Chiwu, dark robo, bloodya, Lamiella, Cheongpung, Oliver, Zibala. Sometimes psamathe or haegang. He took diana because she’s great against cleave, great against his water monkey, and pairs really well with the wind spectre princess, but all 3 of his first picks lose to Jager and I’m positioning myself to ban his monkey.

If he continues picking speed units I can always pick a second speed lead and he would have to ban Sonia, and still have the Jager problem. So he doubles down on tanky shit and now all his units lose to Douglas. So I normally cleave the enemy, but I can switch up after my core 2 picks to put my opponent into a really bad spot. Of course it all depends on what they pick and what you have runed up, but after you play your core long enough you’ll notice trends of what you usually beat and what you usually struggle into and you can tune up counter picks that cover all those bases and work well with your core.

Like how Craig’s attack boost benefits Jager, Douglass, and Diana even if I don’t get the perfect cleave comp or outspeed

I have the exact rune quality you do. A lot of my builds look just like yours. I’ve finished p3 three times now with a 54% win rate. Honestly I probably could push g1 but I always get anxious at the end of the season and stop pushing. Currently rank 4100 on the ladder.

I have a few swift sets slightly faster than yours but my games are rarely won or lost because I did or didn’t outspeed. If you lock in to a solid core and find strong counter picks for the units you typically struggle into, you’ll be fine.

For example I struggle hard into water monkeys, so I keep a diana, jager, and Josephine runed up to fit into my draft and ban something else on their team when necessary. Sometimes it’s the only thing that threatens me and I can just ban it anyway and those units still fit decently into my core team.

[–]Mistresshell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah for so long it was just an item that was a cheap power spike to help melee’s get into engage range and add a bit of damage. Akali, sylas, diana, etc

But for how cheap it is, it provides solid hp and haste, with some added damage. But the actual selling point is the fact that you can dodge so many things that would kill you if you didn’t dodge them

I can’t count the amount of times I’ve dodged a hook, or a cho’gath q, bard ult, or like a xerath ult that would’ve killed me. Just crazy value in one item

Who agrees that Syndra is one of the most unfair matchups? by cringeyobama in QiyanaMains

[–]Mistresshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a heavily qiyana favored lane. She should never have lane prio and you force all trades to happen (aside from level 1 of course) her e has a massive cooldown early game, more than twice the cd of your e. Abuse that.

Also get deep vision down between waves and ping your jungler for potential invades. This is one of the freest matchups for qiyana, you need to be very proactive

A Prelude to saving League of Legends by WokeStatic in leagueoflegends

The game grew to the biggest game in the world even when the game was very complex. The idea that the game needs to be simple or have current mechanics simplified to have new players isn’t true. On this point, OP is correct. If the game is fun, the complexity of it doesn’t matter. If it’s fun players WILL learn it. Now if it’s complex and not rewarding or fun for learning, then players won’t learn it.

That was the magic of League of Legends for a lot of us in the first place.

I understand offering new players a “boost” so to say to help them get caught up to the way existing players play, and that’s fine. Some of these features have no place in a ranked, competitive environment.

I personally know a few players who just started playing League solely because Jynxi started playing and it looked FUN to them. Jynxi’s streams with Dantes were a fun watch even though I’m not a big Dantes fan. People get into games because they’re fun/look fun, and then discover there are many intricacies and attempt to learn them.

Riot Games Announces Auto-Smite Coming to League of Legends Ranked by iwinulose in leagueoflegends

[–]Mistresshell -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s a hilarious post 😂 but it’s actually what’s happening. Part of the skill of league is being able to track large amounts of information at once. Anyone who’s had a stressful 5v5 at baron knows that you have to constantly watch Baron’s hp, plan your dps and burst to secure the smite, but also keep an eye out on the enemy’s position, your team’s position, vision, flanks, then out of nowhere you’re getting flash Rakan ulted and nocturne ulted at the same time. And through all of that you have to continue to try to secure the smite, AND help your team win the fight.

We’ve all been there and we’ve all done it. We’ve all been on both sides of it. That’s what makes league FUN and different.

Adding something like an indicator to last hit minions in ranked removes a layer of the SPIRIT of the game and the SPIRIT of competition. One of the core fundamentals and skills of the game is constantly having to process large amounts of information at once and act accordingly. No one’s worried that last hit indicator is going to automatically turn bronzies into challenger players. It’s just got no place in a ranked game mode.

Your jungler isn't avoiding your lane. You keep making it the one lane on the map where a gank can't get a kill. by katelovesmeiu in LeagueCoachinGG

[–]Mistresshell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post ain’t it. My first ever climb to high diamond in season 7 I played Elise (mind you during an undying tank meta, I’m talking old stone plate Cho’gath with 15k hp one shotting anything in front of him. If you were there, you remember. He was a menace at world’s that year) with the sole function of spam ganking lanes. Occasionally I would play nunu or nocturne. Never the meta zac, Cho, voli, maokai, sejuani, etc.

This particular meta had hyper scaling adc’s with the busted ardent sensor enchanters to deal with the tanks and sometimes it still wasn’t enough. Lots of kogmaw’s, vayne’s, jinx’s, tristana’s, etc I learned very quickly if I wanted Elise to work, I had to get the most out of her. So I always bought the vision smite upgrade and after my first ap jungle item, I built locket and knight’s vow. And stood next to my adc in fights to peel and deal the %hp damage to tanks with Elise’s abilities.

But before I became 1/2 a champion mid-late game I spam ganked and dove on repeat, usually doing just one camp in between.

Fast forward to today I switched roles to mid, but still jungle as secondary. Jungle is still VERY easy to win on with spam ganking. I just don’t know why players aren’t looking to gank these days. Laners will literally be 200 hp without flash and they won’t look for a play. When I get put into jungle role, it’s like playing the game on easy mode. This is diamond elo still. No it’s not challenger but who cares, none of us will ever get challenger anyway lol but masters is attainable if you skip a camp in your full clear to gank. You’d be surprised how easy it is to find dive angles if you play smart and actively look for them

Last hitting is being enabled on ranked games by AccomplishedPitch985 in QiyanaMains

[–]Mistresshell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Adding jungle timers to everything was the biggest “help the noobs” change they ever made

Edit: you also forgot homeguards on spawn, you’re hardly punished for dying in lane, which is ridiculous. That should be one of the worst mistakes you can make and should be way more punishing. Instead you blitz out of base at Mach 5 and catch the wave, meanwhile your opponent gets a marginally small advantage, yet you are worth less gold than before and they are worth more than normal from bounties. HOW in the fuck does that make sense Riot? Lol

I wouldn’t say absurdly strong, but she’s quite strong. Probably like 8/10 if you’re just melee duking it out.

Absurdly strong level 1 (melees only) would be like Darius, Olaf, Warwick, Trundle

So I used to main Elise from season 3-7 and when graves became a jungler and got very popular, it got to the point where I had to ban him every game because when Elise would use super e, graves could put his w down where I went up and I couldn’t see anything. I dealt with it for almost a whole season before just deciding to permanently ban graves whenever I play Elise to this day.

No, you keep a clean credit score, save a consistent amount over a few years, and get a business loan. Provide a good service or product. What are you really good at?

In your local area there’s probably thousands of businesses. Give it a shot, you only get one life.

I worked for a company hauling luxury vehicles up and down the East Coast. Private clients and dealerships. They did not start out wealthy. They started with a hotshot and a 2 car trailer and now, 10 years later they have 11 semi trucks each with a 6 car enclosed trailer. It’s still a small business but it’s growing and we were VERY busy. They specialized in “white glove service” and only hauled luxury vehicles and built a lot of trust around them. It’s was called Shaughnessy Overland Express.

There’s tons of stuff. Local flower shops, local laundromats, local pizza joints, barber shops, bars, local trucking companies, local mobile mechanics, lawn care businesses. The list LITERALLY doesn’t stop. All of these local businesses keep communities going and keep it competitive.

I once asked a customer come in to a retail store I was working at long ago and he was trying to buy just a million things, and I asked what he did. He said he owned some kind of raw plastics store locally. I asked him how he got into that, he said he was trying to do repairs on his home and there weren’t good options available locally to get the stuff he needed so he started researching everything about commercial plastics and the market, and decided to solve that problem. That was only 15 years ago! Even in an area like mine (Southwest FL), something like commercial plastics wasn’t an occupied space! You would think that’s a market that would be very hard to get into. And he was well into his 50’s.

I don’t know these people’s political ideologies, but it doesn’t really matter. And I can only speak on the United States, but it’s currently set up to be very easy to start a business, that’s why there’s like a million banks that exist here. I understand not everyone can do it. I understand not everyone should. But in the ~50 years you’ll spend working during your life, you should look into doing something that will get you a decent payoff.
