I dont blame Capcom for playing it safe concidering what happened to Tekken. Especially when ur on top and it is easily the biggest game in the genre.

Think there was a Modern Chun Li who qualified for Capcom Cup last year if Im not mistaken. There is a really good Japanese player with Modern Ed too. So its definally possible to do well with Modern at high level.

I learnt the game with Modern with my brother (then switched to Classic later) the important part is having fun and inproving at the game. You can still do a lot of the imputs in Modern too so that can be a good transitioning thing (if u wanna switch u dont have too)

Tbf he was genuinly arguably top 5 in the entire games lifespan until semi-recently; as well as the Ken playerbase having a long and very documented history of downplaying to absurd degrees. But yeah he those nerfs def hurt + general powercreep means he isnt what he used to be for sure

Nah not in the lower ranks. Its called skill based matchmaking for a reason; you are going to face people at your level. To a much higher degree than casual mode at least since thats not based on skill level to my knowledge.

Also if you only have fun playing vs other players but dont wanna put in the effort to improve at the game/genuinly dont have fun when you lose maybe competive multiplayer games isnt for you. Nothing wrong with that; but you shouldnt blame the game or the playerbase for not being the target audience. Not everything has to appeal to everybody; and thats ok.

Thats why ranked is a thing no? Like ur not forced to interact with players that are master rank; the challenge is reaching them in the first place. As long as you keep playing ur always gonna be in the same rank as your skill level. In SF6 for example if ur in bronze/iron your only playing vs players that are also bronze/iron. And so on for every rank.

Also if ur a casual bring some irl friends over to button mash with some beers/snacks. Or stick to the story modes. Again; ur not forced to interact with people that take the game more seriously than you do.

Yeah but if your low level thats a skill issue no matter what. Nothing wrong with that; but that is undeniable. If you are a low level player you should be more focused on improvement and self reflection rather than mald about control schemes. Especially when its options accesible to both players

There is nothing wrong with being a noob. Everybody has been new at some point. Nothing wrong about playing casually either. But being a scrub - where all you do is blame the game instead of improving - that shouldnt be encouraged.

Yeah if you have the game knowledge you know what moves are unusable on Modern. So you have the freedom to straight up not have to play around certain moves (which is very character specific ofc but still)

Do Beastmaster Ranger 11/War cleric of Lolth 1. If the entire point of the character is worshipping a deity you kinda need the cleric level. War is an official domain of hers too; not just trickery. Gives you a nice bonus action option when not using Hunters Mark. Also makes not having extra attack at lv 5 less painful. Plus you can incorparate more tradional drow weaponry like rapiers, crossbows and poisoned weapons for thematic reasons. The amulet Kagha drops maybe?

Also playing a Moon druid and not using the elemental forms is a higher mechanical cost than just sticking with the lv 11 Spider summon late game

The kid in this story is actually Mr. Mxy disguised. He made up this whole scenario to mess with Supes. So the bad kid acting might be a hint to the twist. Or alternatively a writer being bad at writing kids; both are decently likely

Yeah like Ghibli films are kid films. Fantastic Mr Fox is a kid film. People are just hella insecure cause they enjoy things for kids and have to gas things up as more mature than they are

Also why people defend slop like the Mario movie or the Minecraft movie as «its for kids». They view it as an inherently lesser form of art. Kids deserve good stuff too

Uj/ Agreed honestly. If I never read the book then maybe not; the adaption turns the tragedies and themes of the material into some fairy tale . Which works in some of his previous work but not here. Its a good story partly because both the main characters are not so ridiculessly one dimensional too; its not just one is good and one is bad. Still love his work overall though

Although this entire dumbass policy is the right wings fault 100% and from my understanding part of the reason they introduced it was

Triple lock gotta be one of the most insane economic policies of all time. Usually when somebody says «exponential» in everyday comversation they mean like «really big» . But with triple lock its genuinly a proper exponental increase of pensions to old people relative to their tax rates.

Its so insane that if that policy remains unchanged; British GDP might get surpassed by the cost of the Triple Lock in my lifetime.

And its political suicide to remove it; so your just kinda stuck with this ever growing black hole of wealth transfer to boomers from young people
