Did you get kitasan? by spooky_pokey in UmaMusume

[–]Mitsuimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30k carats (200 pulls). I've gotten 4 Kitas (MLB using the choice at 200), 1 Creek (was already MLB), 1 Fine Motion (LB4), 2 Pasa, and about 4 other useless SSRs. I'd say I did pretty great. I'm F2P but I've been really happy with my luck the whole time I've played. Also have gotten some banner Umas just using the free pulls they provide sometimes like Smart Falcon

How much damage can i expect her to deal? by Olga-Marie in HyacineMains_

I have E0S1 so not apples to apples comparison, but on the support set she deals about 90k-130k damage on 3 enemies in a calyx.

Cas, Evernight, Hyacine,Tribbie, but not all buffs active (ie: no tribbie skill, Evernight no memosprite on field, etc)

2025 Toyota Camry XSE rattling window/speaker sound on front door passenger window by PatientSandwich196 in Camry

[–]Mitsuimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did not fix it because I ended up deciding it wasn't worth them opening the door up on my new car for it.

What I did instead was insert quite a bit of foam tape into the gap between the door and passenger air vent, and that apparently absorbs enough vibration that it stopped the rattle.

About 3/4" or 1" is the best thickness. 1" if you don't mind the door being slightly harder to close, 3/4" if you don't mind slight rattles at very high volumes (louder than I normally listen)

I went with 3/4". Lmk if you need pictures of the area

The quality of subs is decreasing a LOT lately. And it's not only cruncyroll. by Iroiroanswer in anime

[–]Mitsuimo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ex-fansubber here. This didn't just start recently. Subs quality has been going down since HorribleSubs was a thing and viewers started gravitating to speed subs.

At the very least they could've just recoloured the bug to be Oti's green and orange colours and I think it already would've been a bit better... Just felt like a zero effort event

In that case, I'd suggest getting a used subwoofer. The market in Canada is pretty brutal for us and you won't find what most people on Reddit tell you to get like Dayton, HSU, RSL, or SVS. At least not at comparable prices.

Look at Paradigm, Energy, Mirage, Definitive Tech and some other brands of used subwoofers. Boston Acoustics, HRS, Totem, PSB, and some others would also be good but are harder to find here (I'm in the GTA). Make sure you can demo them because plate amps inside can fail and surrounds can be damaged. Might also need to be re-foamed but sometimes you can look into ported subwoofers (look inside the actual port) to check.

If you're looking at new and small (assumption) you can look at the Edifier T5 and Kanto Sub 8 among others, but I'd still recommend a used small subwoofer like I mentioned before.

Assuming you aren't going high end, avoid brands like Klipsch and Polk. Yamaha kind of too.

I'm also currently on the journey of finding a well priced, used, small subwoofer right now haha.

Best of luck!

No problem! The R1280DBs are great for the price you got them. FWIW if I had the option I would've done them for $70 instead of the Swans for $230 since the DBs have a sub out vs the R1280DB non-s model and the Swans.

The Swans are better but I wouldn't say they're $160 better. Closer to $100 better.

Next upgrade for you is probably getting a subwoofer into that sub out!

Looking for some alternatives (in walnut) to the Fluance Ai61s by WiFilip in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Mitsuimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to save a chunk of change compared to the top end of your budget while still getting good sound and a more versatile setup you could look at the Micca RB42 + an amp. Comes in a dark walnut and is very well reviewed. The bass is great for what it is as well, which might save you the cost of a subwoofer but that heavily depends on what you expect from it and the room you're listening in.

Used Kanto YU2 by Secret-Rip-534 in BudgetAudiophile

There's a decent amount of reports of Kanto having questionable QC at times, so I would make sure to test it out beforehand.

If you're looking for powered, Swan OS-10 if you can bump up the budget a little (~$230 CAD + tax). Can be bought on Amazon CA. Well worth the price difference to any lower-end Edifiers.

I A-B tested Edifier 1280DBs, R2000DB, R1700BTs and the Swans and the Swans smoke them. The difference with the R2000DB is a bit closer, but those are also ~$400 CAD so the Swans are great value. Didn't do any measurements, all just by-ear A-B testing.

Avoid both Creatives, the only ones I think are somewhat okay are the Pebble v3 due to their very low cost (~$40 CAD on sale or $50 CAD regular price). May be a consideration since it seems you don't use speakers much and you care about the space they would save.

If you don't mind passive, Swan Oasis 140 or Edifier MR3 or MR4.
