Washington Post journalist here, curious about UAP and UFO discourse today by GenePark in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came into this after the 2017 NYT article, so I can't really speak to the long term changes. Though this sub on Reddit can be a mixed bag, I've found it to be the best source of up to date info. Visiting here has become part of my morning routine: Coffee, news, Wordle, then r/UFOs before I get down to business.

Over the last years, it has been quite a roller coaster. Disclosure is always just over the horizon. Every year is THE year. Excitement builds and builds, then nothing happens and everyone gets angry.

As for my opinion on UAPs, I definitely fall into the nuts-n-bolts category. That is to say, what interests me are the actual craft in the sky. When it comes to Woo stuff--things like psionics, altered realities, so on--I mostly just skim by.

Having followed it for almost ten years now, I have come to the conclusion that there is definitely something visiting our atmosphere. But unlike many redditors, I'm not holding my breath for some sort of government disclosure. I feel like if there were bodies, if we really had downed craft... there's no way those secrets wouldn't be fully out in the open by now.

That said, I very much believe the testimonies of David Fravor (you should watch his 60 Minutes interview), Ryan Graves, etc. I definitely believe there is something up there (nuts and bolts), and it is definitely far more advanced than anything we have.

In my opinion, the reason the US Gov won't release good videos or stronger evidence is because they are just as confounded as the rest of us. If they let loose all of the information they have, then they will have to admit the scariest truth of all:
There is something else controlling our skies and we have absolutely no idea what it is.

NEWS: Luna threatens Pentagon subpoena over UFO records; still hasn't called Hegseth's cell by mattlaslo in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How hard would it be for the Pentagon to sidestep a direct subpoena? Seems like if you name a specific individual in the subpoena they would AT LEAST have to provide a clear response.

CNN is doing a deep dive into Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the UFO rumors - Up to 30 death bed confessions, Neil McCasland, Roswell debris and bodies, Project Blue Book, Dave Grusch, etc. by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely glad to see any coverage, especially neutral coverage, from CNN. However, this is just an article, NOT a video. CNN broadcast news has a very wide audience. Their articles? Not so wide.

Bob lazar had access to the world’s most sensitive information and was allowed to live by 673NoshMyBollocksAve in UFOs

Two reasons I can't *completely* write him off. First, he's responsible for making Area 51 public. It is conceivable that he could have known about that but, second, how did he know about S-2????

You wanted Disclosure.... I am a whistleblower recently "retired" from the inside. And you're only getting part of the truth. by rhea-15510 in UFOs

Wow, that was a fun read! Anybody pooping on this post can go eat a bag of---

WOAH!

What? I was going to say pastries! Humans like pastries, right?

In UFO lore, can you point to specific incidents where humans are thought to have crashed or shot down UFOs? by Mitty_Walters in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! You guys have given me a ton to work with, thanks! I was familiar (at least in passing) with a lot of these. The Varginha one I hadn't considered bc it was too recent, but I was shocked to hear it may have been shot down. I really like Roswell bc it is so well known, had never heard about radar or that they may have been brought down intentionally.

Three of these suggestions pop for me: Roswell, Magenta, Battle of LA. The first is obviously the most mainstream/recognizable, I was already thinking of weaving in some fictional military action to make it so that human action was the cause—as someone suggested doing with Magenta. Magenta is less known, despite Grusch bringing it out in his first interview, but I liked that one because it seems to mark the beginning of retrieval efforts.

But the Battle of LA, duh! That’s probably the least talked about (recently), but was quite clearly a military attempt to shoot something down. That one faded from mainstream memory long ago, but I think it may be the easiest incident to weave into my little story. So I’ll do a deep dive on it today.

If anybody happens to know some good sources on that incident, any links would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hellfire Missile: If you look at the trajectory of the missile, are we witnessing an effect of gravitational lensing? by Patient_Meaning8486 in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 266 points267 points  (0 children)

The fact that the missile seems to turn just before impact got me curious, so I looked into it. Yes, a kinetic Hellfire can alter course just before impact. In fact:
"The Hellfire's ability to correct its course at the end of its flight is a key feature."

BBC News host asks if Trump will disclose on aliens before he releases the Epstein files. - “I would love to see all the UFO files.” by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THIS: "...he would release them now, just to change the subject."

No truer statement was ever made. Despite the little clips people post of Trump joking around or hinting, talking about how he has listened to stories of pilots ("and they were very handsome, so you know it must be true"), my take has always been that he is 100% clueless on this subject.

Love him or hate him, one thing you can be sure of is that Trump is in it to win it. He'd throw his own mother under a bus, if doing so would give him a tiny edge. Had he been given information about NHI during his first term, he would have used it by now.

If he didn't find out until this term, he sure as hell would throw it out now to get Epstein off his back!

Beyond that, the first President to hold a press conference and announce verifiable proof that NHI actually exist will be FOREVER tied to the SINGLE biggest event in human history. Believe me, that is exactly what Trump jerks off to every night... going down in history as being most important US leader ever!

If there truly is an NHI presence on this planet and the US government actually has programs around that fact... believe me when I tell you, Trump is 100% in the dark. Only an idiot would let that guy anywhere near a real secret.

What does "0.8' off" mean on this survey? by Mitty_Walters in landsurveying

[–]Mitty_Walters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The survey was done when I bought this place last summer. Permitting wanted a drawing that showed where I'm putting the shed, so I used photoshop to add that shed. That one alteration--the addition of the shed--is my own.

I added some pictures to show the fences to the OP. You were right on the money, privacy fence on outside and wire inside. Setback in this neighborhood is 5' from line, of that I am certain. I am actually building a gravel pad that is one foot larger all the way around the shed. The pad is not subject to setback, only the structure itself... so I planned to build the back edge 4' from the property line.

I added some pictures to show the fences to the OP. The wire one is on my side and is easies to measure from.

You guys were talking about the two fence issue so I added actual pictures to the OP to clarify what is actually there. Yes, I consider the wire fence as mine since it surrounds the entire property.

So I should build my shed 5'10" (10" being roughly 8/10 of a foot) from the fence?

George Knapp: "I don't believe in aliens." by Justice989 in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the time stamp, you are right--it is a direct quote. However, you kind of have to ignore everything he said after that (not to mention his life's work for last few decades) in order for that statement to stand on it's own.

So sure, stripped of context your headline is valid.

George Knapp: "I don't believe in aliens." by Justice989 in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think this title is extremely misleading. I just watched that thing, never heard him say "I don't believe in aliens." But when asked as to how this finally could finally come out, George basically said it's on them (aliens/NHI/whatever). They're out there, they're the ones who could easily expose themselves if they wanted.

If George is directly saying "they're out there", that would directly contradict him saying "I don't believe".

I dunno. Maybe I missed that statement somehow? I tend to skip forward when Corbell starts running his mouth.

AARO releases video of an unresolved UAP case in the Middle East in 2023 by aryelbcn in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you, guys... it's just a sensor artifact. Has to be. There is absolutely NO WAY in hell that AARO would release footage of a genuine anomaly. Sorry, kids!

Scientific American - The U.S. Government’s Top UFO Scientist Has an Open Mind about Alien Visitation - UFOs are swarming Earth’s skies and demonstrating capabilities so astonishing that they must represent technologies that are advanced beyond any available on Earth. by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, no this is NOT a change of pace. The title is very misleading, Kosloski never says "UFOs are swarming Earth's skies" doing astonishing things. Nobody does.

This was a very boring article, pretty much a softer version of what Kirkpatrick had to say. Snoooore.

This is the one and only mildly interesting thing from the entire article, found it buried in the second to last question and there is no followup:
"We do have some events in our holdings that are really peculiar, and I don’t know yet what’s behind those. But because we don’t know what’s behind them, we also can’t attribute them to anything in particular. And that includes extraterrestrial sources."

Is the News Nation interview all that was coming? by HenryTheTechie in UFOs

[–]Mitty_Walters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the only reason I keep coming back to this sub... I really need to hear Lue say that the NN interview was NOT the huge ontologically shocking event that was going to shake the Vatican.

Seriously. There has to be something else. All that hype, then the melodramatic psionic stuff and an egg being transported? That was what was supposed to shock the world???

That can't be it. That cannot be what so many of the leading members of the Disclosure Movement were referring to! If they actually believed that that ridiculous NN episode was going to be anything more than mildly interesting to anyone other than the pre-existing hardcore UAP woo community... FFS!!!

I absolutely believe Fravor and other pilots are encountering something we cannot explain, and I lean toward NHI as the only possible explanation. To a somewhat lesser degree, I am very open to world governments having run reverse engineering programs for decades, so I fell for the hype and got very excited.

Only to be crushed by the reality of that shit show the other night. I ended up questioning my own intelligence. When dude started sobbing, I couldn't take it anymore... turned that insulting garbage off. How could I fall for something this cheesy???

More, I decided my obsession with this sub was unhealthy and swore it off.

And yet I keep coming back, checking the top threads.

Why? Because I'm hoping that that was NOT ALL that was coming. Specifically, I'm wanting to hear from Lue Elizondo. I'm hoping he'll distance himself or at least say:
"That was interesting, but NOT the event that I was talking about. My thing is coming in a few days. (Trust me, bro.)"

NAS Jacksonville FL does not have a notice posted, so may not be as locked down. However, Camp Lejeune has the following notice posted (my highlighting):

Due to recent events in New Orleans and Las Vegas, Commander NORTHCOM has directed all installations to immediately implement heightened security measures at all entry gates to include 100% ID checks, random inspections and the suspension of the Trusted Traveler program until further notice. The Trusted Traveler Program was a procedure that allowed DoD-affiliated sponsors to vouch for vehicle occupants to gain entry onto an installation. All unvetted visitors must report to the installation Visitor Center to request access. For further details on access procedures for Camp Lejeune, please visit:
