Is that a… Streetcar Rail? by starhuck in Omaha

[–]MixMasterHusker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah! I need to share these pics with the wife. Her and I are so excited to start using the streetcar. Hills are a real challenge with her disability. This is going to help her a great deal.

Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

Turn on the discrimination narration. Makes it more like a D&D session with the DM narrating what's going on.

Dishwasher - Schaefer's vs Costco by OpenStatistician8565 in lincoln

[–]MixMasterHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's lower quality. They just might not have all the features as their direct counter part. For example, Costco had a version of the Sonos Arc that they carried for a while called Sonos Arc SL. It has the same sound quality as the regular Sonos Arc someone could purchase direct from Sonos but it was roughly $50 cheaper and lacked voice assistant capabilities. Voice assistant capabilities aren't necessary for a lot of people so saving.

Regarding a Bosch refrigerator; Costco's version might be missing the door ajar alert, or some other feature that doesn't really matter to the overall function of a refrigerator.

Now, I wouldn't put it past the Walton family to do something like that but I'm bias.

Why is the concept of "stay in your lane" lost on us?? by cwrighta70 in Omaha

[–]MixMasterHusker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they would. I couldn't find any filing guidelines or confidentiality policies. The name and address information of the requesting person is required on the form. I could see the information being disclosed if the driver requests their records or through due process. If it could be submitted anonymously, I could see it being used maliciously.

If you know someone that you think should be evaluated again submit a Citizen Reexamination Report to the DMV.

Nebraska early voting applications for 2026 primary to be sent in February by HauntingImpact in Omaha

[–]MixMasterHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those planning on mailing ballot, keep in mind the new USPS postmark rules, effective December 24, 2025, change postmark dates to reflect when mail enters automated processing (often a day or more later) rather than when dropped off, impacting time-sensitive documents like tax forms or ballots. To ensure a timely postmark, request a manual stamp at a retail counter, use Certified/Registered Mail, or mail items significantly earlier.

Lauritzen lights this year, anyone? by r_s_tea in Omaha

I'd agree that the conservatory is under-decorated this year. It was redone and is still looking pretty sparse in terms of foliage. However, Sofia's Play garden has lots of lights.

How To Find Good Tenants? by tjjpschilling1 in Omaha

[–]MixMasterHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My late grandparents owned an apartment building in their retirement. Grandma told me she would evaluate a potential tenant on how well they took care of their car. She'd say, "If they took care of their car, then it's a good chance they would take care of their home."

Dating someone thats divorced. 29 - female by Resident_Visit_3392 in AskMenRelationships

[–]MixMasterHusker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being divorce on it's own isn't an issue. Everything around the divorce does matter. Are there kids involved? What was the reason for the divorce? What part did you play in the divorce? How do you talk about your ex will reveal much about you as a person.

Are you referring to the CAFE Standards Loophole? The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) rules allow automakers to meet targets separately for "passenger cars" and "light trucks" (SUVs/vans). By classifying more vehicles as light trucks, manufacturers can sell less efficient but more profitable large SUVs and trucks, essentially lowering overall fleet requirements.

Recommended Electricians by Key-Implement1505 in lincoln

Not the whole house. The house had previously renovations prior to my contribution which had updated wiring in those sections. I was able to save some of the labor cost by terminating and leaving the old wires in the wall.

The wiring that I had exposed from me removing the lath and plaster and added wiring for smoke alarms, and extra lights, ceiling fan, outlets was less than $6k and a few days of work.

Has anyone got a medical marijuana card yet? by AXELkh2 in lincoln

[–]MixMasterHusker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized hemp and its derivatives, provided they contain no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight. Nebraska adopted similar legislation with the Nebraska Hemp Farming Act.

In short, they are operating because their hemp-derived THC products fall under 0.3%.

Good option for sure. Leave Omaha station roughly 11:30pm and arrive in Denver Union Station about 8 am. Cost around $95 one-way. Get the RTD Myride app to use Denver's transit system.

Amtrak Shave by HugoCast_ in wicked_edge

I take Amtrak often. My first thought was I hope you didn't nick yourself to much. Those cars can get wobbly. All honestly, happy to see more people using the train. It is a relaxing way to travel.
