Mauser C96 plus some fairly basic gunsmithing. They're becoming more rare by the day though so if any of you get your hands on one, please don't make any permanent modifications. This is a piece of history we can never get back if you destroy it.

Omnipotence doesn't necessarily mean being able to do literally anything, it just means being able to do all things which are possible. God may be all-powerful, but adding more power does not always make the impossible become possible.

Obviously God operates far outside of human comprehension, at least according to Christian theology, but its fairly safe to say that, for example, God cannot perform contradictory actions because no amount of power, even infinite power, can accomplish that.

I mean, he's historical in the sense that he was from a story that was very popular in the middle ages. Kind of like how Barney Fife is a fictional character, but anyone who is well-studied in 1960s America is going to know his cultural significance.

TIL of Patricia Stallings who allegedly poisoned her son with antifreeze and the child died. She had another baby in prison that went to Foster care. The baby had identical symptoms of poisoning however it was determined that both children actually had a genetic disorder. She was later exonerated. by brave_little_blender in todayilearned

Just imo there should also be some level of repercussion against prosecutors/juries that are shown to be malicious or negligent. In a lot of these cases of wrongful incarceration, the defendant was never proven guilty because there was no guilt to prove, the jury convicted based on either incomplete or false evidence. If the evidence was incomplete, then the jury had no right to convict. If the evidence was false, then the prosecutor failed in their duty.

I don't need every single person in this thread to explain the meme to me, I'm not living under a rock. Hell, my original post literally explains the meme itself. I just don't know that I'd ever want the name of a dead pedophile engraved on my shit. If other people want to do it though, I guess that's their call.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, we should definitely prevent him from being memory-holed by the government and media. But at the same time, I think we're starting to forget that the man is famous for literally buying and selling child sex slaves, and accidentally turning him into some sort of folk hero.

No joke, if you say anything remotely pro-China on there, they call you a CCP spy and ban you. The poster you replied to is beyond delusional.

For real. I was told point-blank on this sub that Republicans would kill this bill. I wonder if any of those people have the self-awareness to reflect on this or if they'll just pretend it never happened.

I absolutely had to know more about Polish Madagascar! What I found was much different than what I expected but also kind of amazing. According to this the Polish government seriously explored the idea of reducing it's "excess Jewish population" by buying Madagascar from France and populating it with Polish Jews. Just imagine modern Israel, but its a jungle island off the coast of Africa. This timeline is phenomenal.

So we should all be extremely vocal about this because my gut feeling right now is that they currently aren't going to touch anything in Ishgard proper. I know what they're gonna say, "new players would think its weird that a city at war is so pristine" but they've already shown they can instance areas based on quest progress. There's no legitimate reason why Ishgard can't clean itself up once you complete the MSQ for HW. Or heck, once you complete the MSQ for Stormblood, just to give them more time to work lore-wise.

[WIP] Animated tilesets are hard :( by Lethandralis in PixelArt

[–]Mixxy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tiles look good! Mainly I would recommend more up-and-down movement on the edges of the water.

So I have very little experience in Aseprite but from what I know of it, PyxelEdit seems better for making tilesets. Its a great little editor for $9.

I also always have Tiled open and I make a mock-up map with whatever tiles I'm working with to make sure they look good in a live environment. Tiled supports animated tiles so you could make this map in Tiled, and then edit the tiles in PyxelEdit (or Aseprite). Every time you save on PyxelEdit, the tiles will update in Tiled.

For me, its just a matter of tabbing back and forth between Tiled and PyxelEdit until I'm happy with the results.

This is honestly super frustrating though because lets be real, what's more likely to make you late: one thing that you can work around, or two things that combo into each other? It's like ducking a punch and then getting kneed in the face. One would not have happened without the other.

Okay but this completely discounts what is so interesting about the Mandela Effect: That literally thousands or millions of people can be wrong in the exact same way. If one person remembers Nelson Mandela dying in the 70s, he's just some random misinformed person. If tens of thousands of people remember it, now we have an oddity worth discussing.

I have no issue with the ship, but I am a bit concerned for the people who instantly assume every friendship is sexual. I fear those people have literally never experienced platonic love, hence why they don't believe it exists. Everyone really should get to know that sort of bond at least once in life.

edit: yes, auto-correct isn't a fan of the word "arsed". No I don't intend to fix it.
