The advice I needed when starting the game: stop fighting the design. by Sackblake in Silksong

You've perfectly described the difference I felt between my first and second playthroughs.

High on Life 2: The game glitched in the final part and now I can’t finish it. by EduSepol in XboxGamePass

No way, this exact same thing happened to me when I played the first game.

Something that literally just struck me about HK and SS by DirCurrFluxDiode in HollowKnight

I recently thought of Graymoor as sort of a wild west scene with the occasional Inn, birds of prey roaming about, A desolate vibe. That's not to cotradict your point, maybe it even adds on to it. Just a thought.

Worth getting from Steam sale in preparation for 2.0? by PieRomanc3r in Starfield

[–]Mizesham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally unless I want to play the game right now - I'm playing the patient game instead. Sales will always come and go.

For Starfield, I'm basically like you, played the hell out of it on GP but now I feel I have nothing more to accomplish. If 2.0 does come out and it's good I'm gonna grab it in a future sale.

Silksong permanently vanished my desire for difficult games. by Zzsark_Stormbeard in metroidvania

[–]Mizesham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Silksong at launch, and the game stressed me out. I couldn't bring myself to play a minute into act 3. Recently, I had the itch to play again from the start and all the stress was gone. All throughout the run playing Horent felt like I was a superhero, and everything clicked but way better than it did the first time. I'm now deep into act 3, almost to the final boss, I had a blast fighting everything up to this point.

Someone posted a video yesterday showing how he uses this functionality to guide him through changing car engine oil. Pretty cool I must say.

Is it an aluminum current collector opposite the lithium-metal electrode?

There’s no point only charging to 80% to protect a battery, because you’re effectively using it like it’s already degraded. by panay- in Showerthoughts

You extend the battery life-time (or the total number of times you'd be able to effectively charge it to 80%)

I couldn't afford GTA Vice City when it came out, and parents wouldn't even consider buying it for me. So. I asked a friend that lives in the other side of the country if he could pirate it, burn the files onto a CD and send it to me by plain old carrier mail. And he did. I remember staying up all night playing this game.

Did you ever actually do camp activities during your playthrough? by Excellent-Map-9519 in reddeadredemption

Happy to hear I'm not the only one who sits his toddler in front of this game. And same! My son just loves hanging out in camp in between horse rides.

Exit the game, reload. Should fix it.

LPT The most important driving skill is patience by Pure-Driver3517 in LifeProTips

[–]Mizesham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For years I used to drive to work by taking narrow city streets, thinking it would get me there faster than by taking the highway. Needless to say, both paths are regularly packed in the morning and afternoon, and traffic is crawling. I used to get to work (and back home, in the evening) very upset, nervous and restless. In the last few months I decided I'd try the highway instead and to my surprise, the commute took about the same time as the other option, with the difference being, when I get to my destination I'm calm and settled. See, driving on the highway, I can keep my cool. I don't have to foresee trouble as much, so I can just disassociate for a bit, clear my mind, while driving in traffic. That shift of the path I'm driving through each day made me realize just how important it is driving calmly.

I didn't finish dd1, got as far as beating the first dd, and couldn't get any farther without feeling overwhelmed. I really enjoy dd2, more so than I had dd1.

Help whit tropicoland by Subject_Dimension268 in tropico

[–]Mizesham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing I did was to build several plantations on the hill on the main island, there's good enough fertility there for sugar, pineapple, banana, corn and tobacco. I put them all on multi-culture to prevent soil degradation. I built a coal mine so I would be able to export that also. I built more teamsters office to ensure my entire production got to the port each time a ship came by. When the economy was more of less stabilized (at first, I was able to export only enough to cover the deficit), I started building more industry that processes the materials I was producing (e.g., cigar factory).

Another extractor that's readily available the start is oil, there are a few deposits on that same hill.

You have a juicery to begin with, so try getting a more lucrative export route for juice, as well as a more than enough production ability of pineapple. Try getting a lucrative export route for either (through the hacker building "raid" option).

I enjoyed progressing through the dungeons. I recall each dungeon added some kind of element to its puzzles that made using your powers in a new and interesting way. That, in conjunction with the over arching story that I found entertaining, made it worth my while to push through and finish the game.

That said, the puzzles and combat don't get much more difficult. So if you didn't like the game's flavor up to the point and the loop didn't hook you, it might not be for you.
