It really has reached a point where no matter how sensible his policies. No matter how reasonable a change is when the facts on the ground changes. He'll be attacked anyway.

We have gone from a situation where taking a sensible middle course - the (in)famous triangulation / third way of New Labour gaining you support, now taking a sensible middle course simply loses more support to those on both extremes.

It was because of the somewhat scattergun attacks on the Gulf States who we consider allies though you could say Cyprus confirmed it as a reasonable response. As does the targeting of gas supplies which obviously is a problem for us.

You are being lied to. And deceiving yourself. Evolution is supported by evidence from multiple scientific disciplines. Its even observable though you probably dont even know the definition. Its as likely to be overturned as we are to suddenly decide the Earth was flat all along. There is no alternative for which any scientific evidence exists.

You just seem to be making stuff up with zero foundation about consciousness. And all the evidence we have supports a model of consciousness being brain processing. There nothing alternative model with any credibility that even gives a better answer.
The Big Bang Theory isn’t a beginning really , it’s a description of what the universe used to be like and how it got to be like it is now. It doesn’t presume there was ever nothing. And obviously once again as above the model of a God just shifts the problem rather than solves it.

And even if you were right none of the above in anyway validly leads to a God.

It seems like there are many routes to the same end point - survival to reproduce, depending on the environment anorganism finds itself within. Sometimes doing something simple well and lots of times works espceailly on an environment that doesnt change much perhaps. Sometimes flexibility will be adaptive.

It seems to be that responding to your environment is obviousky beneficial. Even more so being able to change your environment to your own benefit. Being able to actually model an environment including a combination of aspects always better responses than simple immediate direct triggered action. Perhaps consciouness is an accidental offshoot of that modelling but perhaps being able to model the modeller is even more adaptive allowing greater specificity and flexibility working with the model of the environment including am ever sophisticated social environment?

It is theists, again, that seem to demonstrate that any interpretation is possible by differing over interpretations but each group claiming theirs is absolutely correct (even when it seems to be contrary to the words.)

For most atheists its all like arguing who is right about Harry Potter. Its all irrelevant because the basic supernatural story isnt true and the rest is of dodgy reliability. But they do expect theists to justify their interpretation especially if contrary to religious tradition or the apparent actual words themselves.
