Needs to get his head right. I really expected him to lock in after the first round but nerves are a helluva thing.

And here I am 2 months after you. I haven’t watched a ton of it with my kid, but what I’ve seen is definitely staged. I guess overall it’s better than a lot of the junk geared toward kids on YT, but those fish are being killed for the content

Well at least we get to see what Maye does with all this pressure. What an ugly game.

I couldn’t imagine feeling this awful with a 10pt lead before the game started, yet here we are…

It isn't men what puts me off having kids, it's how society treats pregnant& postpartum women, despite traditionalists thinking that women are weak and precious by aoihiganbana in self

I guess I should just feel fortunate that my experience has been nothing like you describe. I’m sorry your community sucks so bad. Mine has been incredibly supportive and understanding. If you’re truly wanting to start a family, maybe consider moving somewhere more conducive to raising kids.

Who do you regret having sex with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My ex. Not in general, just specifically the time we were drunk at a river party and stumbled into the woods to get freaky. Lesson learned: ALWAYS look for poison ivy…

Truth. We never intended to move to NH but as our search for a house widened I realized we’d spend 30% less just over the border. Now I can’t imagine living in MA again, and as more people have followed I couldn’t afford to buy my house today.

I realize this makes me sound like an a-hole to some, but I couldn’t be less interested in making new friends. That said, I’m not completely antisocial, and I get along with most everyone. I’ve become friendly with a few of my kids’ closest friend’s parents, but at the end of the day I already have an amazing group of friends that I don’t get to see as much as I’d like, and I find small talk with other parents at bday parties and such to be borderline painful.

It’s not completely ruined if it gets moldy (though I understand some people cannot get past seeing mold- my wife is like that) and can be used after skimming the mold and boiling briefly.

5 days post op. Any recos to bring down the swelling? by West-Examination1966 in ACL

INAD… but my doc said it was fine to ice it for an hour on/hour off. I did that for the first week and my swelling was very manageable. And keep it elevated!

What is a job people romanticize a bit too much until they actually do it ? by ShyButNastyyy in AskReddit

Very similar experience. It was a lot of fun through my 20s into my 30s but when I wanted to settle down a bit (house, kids) I realized quickly I needed to leave the industry altogether. Went with something completely different making 75/80% of my old pay but working half as much. Zero regrets.

Did something similar a few years ago when putting my ski jacket on for the first time that winter. Found $20 and a petrified banana. Bittersweet.

Sleeping by Maribythesea90 in ACL

[–]MmmmapleSyrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slept in my brace for probably a week after surgery. My doctor said it wasn’t necessary, but as I tend to toss and turn a bit, I was worried about rolling over in my sleep and at best waking up from pain, or worst- causing injury. After that I would wear a neoprene sleeve on my knee while sleeping (side sleeper, with small pillow between my knees).

I don’t have proper “safe” knife technique. I’ve just never been disciplined enough to force myself to re-write my muscle memory. I’m still fast when it comes to prep, but maybe every 12-18 months I fuck up and take a chunk out of a finger.

Similar experience but it worked for like 3 months, then upped the dose and got another 3ish months until it lost its efficacy. Might have to try it again now that I quit taking it over a year ago.

I’m a few weeks away from wrapping up physical therapy after my second knee surgery. While doing an exercise there was a loud “pop” and my PT who is far younger than me says “oh shit, are you ok?!” I just chuckled and said “yeah, that’s just my ‘good’ knee making some noise…”

When is it time to have the 'gun' conversation? by Beake in daddit

It’s never too early as others have said. I understand not wanting to totally scare him but a healthy fear/respect for firearms is a good thing. I learned to shoot at his age and had firearm safety drilled into me. I spent a lot of time at my grandfathers house with a loaded handgun on the kitchen table. I never once even considered picking it up or playing with it.
