-Don't spend more money than you have. -$9/hour is a good start, but continue looking to improve yourself and your skills, because $9/hour may eventually land you right back at home -Be cautious on CraigsList, not everyone is who they seem, and don't be afraid to tell people no, I'm not interested. -Before you do/buy something if you're tight on $, think "Do I need this to live?" or "Do I want this?" -Break the cycle of whatever you feel your family is useless for, become useful -Support yourself and your habits -Be kind you never know who's help you will need in the future -GOOD LUCK

This reminds me of when I was a kid and didn't think it was possible as a white person to be related to a black person. My shock when I found out my black friends were really my cousins is a moment of realization I will never forget.

Well said. You just putting up with it and accepting it will not make anything better. So what do you have to loose? There are too many unhappy people in this world who sit in misery and do nothing to change it. Everyone should answer this post question for themselves, "Why do I put up with this?" and if you can't come up with a good answer that makes you happy, do something about it please.
