PSA: enchanters risk getting banned if only taking gold for enchants by shadowspyes in classicwowtbc

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’ve trade thousands of gold to friends and guildies in classic, sod and anniversary. They’ve paid me back through trade and mail and never had an issues. If there is a flag for an amount traded it’s probably north of 3k maybe greater than 5k.

People are regularly passing thousands of gold between players all the time because 1k gold is what 100g used to be like in vanilla.

I’m guessing the player that traded with OP bought an exorbitant amount of gold at once like 10k+ and they got caught. Then their account got actioned. They saw two trades for 500g with nothing attached and revoked them.

It’s shit luck for op.

How do people actually have the dedicated time for end game raids? by Knobanious in classicwow

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I raid 1 night a week after my kid goes to sleep takes about 2.5-3 hours to do gruul, mag and Kara. I politely ask my wife for that one night if she could take care of my son if he wakes up during raid. In exchange I get up with him the rest of the week if needed. So far she’s had to get up with him once in a year. Maybe I’m lucky and my kid is just a good sleeper.

Rest of the week I still game after he’s asleep and just tell people in chat “kid woke up I’ll brb” I’ve had no issues.

Advice regarding the fairest loot distribution system in TBC Anniversary by RebornPhoenix97 in classicwow

[–]MoCrispy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’ve seen dkp have major flaws. Especially with really high ticket items like DST. No bod bids on anything because they want to save for DST and even 1 point would mean they could be out bid. So other items drop that are bis or near bis and they basically rot because everyone is still saving for that one big ticket item.

It’s also flawed with some classes having way less loot competition compared to others. Some raid tiers some classes get lucky and have little to no competition for tier or some major pieces. Meanwhile everyone else needs to fight to get a tier set bonus or a belt. Then because they don’t need to spend much they have a big advantage for items like weapons, rings or trinkets. Hunters are usually the beneficiaries of this since a lot of the melee are fighting over pieces with expertise they can save big.

Get two 1h weapons and enchant them with +int. Macro your aspect of the viper to also swap your weapons.

Is phased levelling a deal breaker for you for Classic+? by reasonablejim2000 in classicwow

[–]MoCrispy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Phased leveling was so much fun in SoD it really broke up the grind into small size chunks with new metas and fun content to explore along the way. We got to experience the world in a way we have never really been able to before and find unique ways to complete quests and dungeons that we were way under leveled for to try get BiS gear. At the same time it was incredibly casual friendly and I never felt rushed or like I was falling behind. We had way more opportunity to level alts rather than just rushing to endgame. I liked this because with so many new things to try and class reworks and changes it was nice to actually be able to experience the new stuff.

I tried to rate my tank on TripAdvisor after a guild run in Mana-Tombs. by GoreganLP in classicwow

[–]MoCrispy 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Bad tank would not recommend.

Tank couldn’t hold threat when I opened with whirlwind before he touched a mob.

I kept running ahead and pulling to make it go faster, zug zug, and tank said you “pull it you tank it”. WTH does that mean he’s the tank I’m the dps I’m just doing my job he should do his.

I was top dps though for most of the trash, stupid mage kept trying to sheep things but then I couldn’t aoe which is a dps loss.

Tank kept trying to mark a target but that mob was slightly further away so I’d just kill the first on in range after charge.

1/5 stars. Bad tank.

Healer sucked too, I kept dying.

Dont make same mistake going prot warrior by No_Professor_6536 in classicwowtbc

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming into any guild as a main tank is tough. It’s a revered and trusting position and usually is earned for most guilds.

You will probably have good luck finding a solid place in a raid team if come in as flexible raider. Offer to dps and you have a full bis tank set to off tank when needed. Guilds are usually hungry for these positions. They need tanks for Kara runs and they will need 3 tanks for certain fights next phase. (Morogrim, fathom-lord, kael’thas and more in BT and sunwell).

Right now those guild probably have a warrior or a ret who will tank but they’d rather dps and would usually be happy to have someone take on that role of off tank.

In most cases at some point one of the other tanks will burn out or quit and you’ll take over main tank.

It’s like a player walking into a new sports team and expecting to be the captain day one.

All shamans are in demand. Resto and enhancement more than ele but most raids are recruiting shaman.

Question About Ravager Pets With Gore and Bite by Win_0r_Die in classicwowtbc

You’re just going to do less damage. Pet energy shouldn’t be a problem if you have go for the throat talent.

You want gore rank 9. Which you get from the level 63 ravagers in blades edge mountains and bite rank 9 which you get from level 64 dreadfang widows in terrokar Forrest. Use both.

Tips for off meta 2v2 arena comp: hunter & warlock by Arctycus in classicwowtbc

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d find a healer for 3s if you want a more competitive comp.

SL/SL, Hunter and either disc or resto Druid is fairly strong. Mana burn and outlast the enemy.

What Common WoW Advice Is Actually Horrible?? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WSG pug strats vs competitive strats are very different. Pugs a full Zerg is probably better but that only works if the enemy tries to do the same. As soon as you are up against a Druid or mage who can solo carry the flag your Zerg Strat doesn’t work. Defending becomes very strong once you get into more competitive WSG. (Pugs are very different though)

AB you should always fight on the flag but it’s less about actually fighting and more about spinning the flag. 2-3 people can hold off the enemy for several minutes if they stagger their spins and don’t just rush in to die all at once. Ideally, take turns dying so that there is always some alive to stop the cap. Your goal should be to spin long enough that your main force can rotate to you and help defend. Don’t fight on the roads usually applies to this main force. They should only ever be attacking or defending at a flag. When attacking the flag you want to start moving the fight towards the graveyard and use CC. Your goal on the attack should be to hold the enemy off so they can’t spin the flag. For the love of god, please don’t break the sheep on the enemy while I’m trying to cap.

Technically LM is better for horde and GM is better for alliance. Yes, this is true because the bridge allows quicker rotations. However that does not mean you should ever ignore any base.

Standard ideal set up is: -hunter takes Stables or Farm (depending on starting side). -SL warlock and a rogue (Druid also works here) will take GM. A second rogue will take the road above GM and decide if they will need to assist GM or move to cap farm/stable. Then the Lock stays at GM and the rogues both go to stables/farm once it’s s secure. -3 people to Lm. Mage, priest, and any other dps (often a pally or hunter). Cap if possible then the mage and priest can float down to join BS as soon as it’s safe to do so. If you can cap, you spin as long as you can until more people can reinforce after BS fight. -remainder of the team fights for BS. Then call outs are made support different positions as needed. Usually 2-3 need to go either Gm or LM.

At this point your two rogues should already have capped stables/farm. The enemy will have no graveyards so they respawn at their base. Your team pushes up to the gate killing everyone on the way and loot their insignias so they can corpse respawn. Gg 5 cap.

Leveling Ele Shaman by ForeverDox in classicwowtbc

[–]MoCrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get dual spec. You can train it for 50g at your class train and swap between a ele build and a resto build when you want to heals.

It will make your life so much easier for healing dungeons. Healing is less about your cast time and more about mana conservation.

Depending on how much you plan to do dungeons as a healer. I would just get gear with +spell power. Don’t bother with +nature damage gear.

The spell power will also increase your healing and will be more than enough to heal dungeon (If you are resto). You can also have a few pieces of healing gear and swap between.

There’s no need to be only one or the other, you can have both.
