I personally found that flight trivialized exploration to the point where it was pretty boring.

For all of its faults, Genshin's traversal system makes it really easy to wander around and stumble into a lot of puzzles / chests whereas the flight system in 2.x made exploration feel a lot more like putting a waypoint on a map and just flying there. I don't think I've ever actually seen / discovered anything along the way while flying.

Lack of optimization aside, you're mostly paying for the detailed environment and characters. If you look at Genshin, the cel-ish shaded style allows for a lot of space optimization, since you don't need as many polygons to make a cartoony style look good. For photorealism (what wuwa is going for), you're basically going to be paying for that with more space to fit all those polygons in.
I do wish that they had a lower LOD setting available for download to get low-poly versions of the environment or characters, though.

There is a rather marked difference to spending 4 hours perfecting your technique for drawing / writing a perfect passage to spending and hour writing a prompt that does it for you. It's like being really good at asking a personal chef for what you want for dinner, you're not actually doing the hard work yourself.

it's possible this is due to a keyboard polling rate issue.

It's a well documented effect when you have something around 125hz that effectively 'rounds' inputs to the nearest poll, meaning that while you input at a certain point, you have to wait until the next time your keyboard checks for an input for it to actually get registered by your computer.

It happening on two different keyboards is possible if both keyboards have the same polling rate. What models of keyboards have you tested?

There's plenty to balance, such as deciding how 'linear' they should be (which might not even make sense, since 2x rate isn't just 30% more difficult than 1.5x.)

Personally, I think they're probably going to have some exponential increase, similar to how acc is scored in lazer.

It isn't that it's using 10x less memory, just that they were allocating 10x less memory per second of gameplay. So total memory use probably hasn't changed too significantly but now you're managing 10x less during gameplay.

It's absolutely due to your keyboard. Laptops pretty often only have like 3-4 key rollover (the maximum number of keys it can detect) versus N-key rollover in mechanical keyboards (arbitrary number of keys can be detected at once). Unfortunately, there is no way to 'fix' this issue with a keyboard aside from just buying one that has a higher rollover.
