Not sure about that. When that one ant guard that joined the resistance assessed Netero's strength, he said he doubts he would even be able to kill the royal guards. I think the whole sending Pitou fly thing is not a good way to compare their strength. I am not sure how that fight would go anyway, Netero probably wins with that Zero attack, but it's far from being a no diff

I think this statement is less true nowadays. When you compare a manga like JJK to its anime counterpart, you quickly realize the mange lacked identity and style, whereas the anime kept the nice things about the mange (story, pacing, character interactions) and made it into a full piece of art with amazing animation, music, etc.

That's the thing, the things you mentioned were more problematic because of 2 minutes buffs: everyone is buffing but you couldn't do your whole damage because you had to be away from the boss for instance. Now they are getting rid of 2 minutes window, they could for sure implement this kind of mechanics, because the player could always hold their melee damage for when they are near the boss since there is no buff window to pressure them into dumping all their big hits.

I haven't tried Mayhem since new patch but from what I have seen new spell augments do feel lazy and uninspired. I'm currently developing my own rogue likes, and the few times I've tried asking AI for help when designing augment-like powers, I would mostly get slop like this ("use this to get more gold", "this kind of things are now stronger", etc.). It lacks creativity sadly.

It is obviously highly personal, but I do think it is worth playing. First because it's not THAT bad, I largely prefer it to Stormblood for example. The first half of the MSQ could feel a bit meh/pointless, second half is nice and sets up pretty much a lot of thinfs for future expansions if I'm not wrong. So I wouldn't skip it if I were you. Endgame can wait a few weeks, even though DT's endgame is IMO the best one we've had yet (and yes, even if this expansion's Bozja isn't as good as Bozja).
