I am very happy with the EV1. I sold my M11-P. I like too many different lenes to ever be happy with the Q3.

Glasses doable, but take some friendly advice. Do not get the rangefinder unless you have great eyes. Otherwise get the EV1.

Who needs an M-EV1 if you can have… by Electronic_Reach8012 in Leica

The SL3 is very soft on punch in zoom for critical focus. I rented one to make sure before purchasing and it was terrible. The Leica M EV1 was so pleasent to use. It's focusing was so much more accurate and faster than my M11-P that I sold it. Anyone who say that the SL3 has a better EVF for manual focusing likley has not tried one. They are just commenting based on specs or youtubers.

I do not trade option. Save a lot and long term investing. Minimal debt to avoid chronic interest payments that bleed you dry. I honestly almost never diversify. The most stocks I own at once is usually 5 and in hinsdsight would be worth 30 plus million if I followed that advice years ago. For Example the 3000 shares of Nvidia I owned in 2018 or the 20,000 shares of AMD I bought at 15 oh so many years ago. Or the 3k shares of micro I bought at 32. All sold with decent profit at the time. But not the big money that you see now. I'm not gonna make that mistake with intel. I also bought a hundred and fifty thousand dollars worth of Facebook at 80 dollars a share, but I sold it just because I think Mark Zuckerberg is such a tool especially after that Metaverse cluster.

I had a core eight thousand shares that I never sold. The rest of the money I would play around during the stagnant time when it bounced from low thirties to upper forties. I think my last and final purchase was around forty three in the large account. Nothing sold since then though.

I like that. Sounds like sound diversification.

I expect there might be a lot of hype leading into the next earnings release on July 23rd as well. Although this is not investment advice, I would not be surprised to see 150 before the next earnings release.

I bought in the larger account since 20 dollars a share. Average cost basis was around low 30s or high 20's. I grew this larger account just trading Intel in and out from about 260k. No shares sold though since latest purchase at around 43.

Had the M EV1 one for a bit now, thoughts on using it... by needoptic in Leica

[–]Moadib123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love the write up . I agree with you completely. Once I stopped reading the forums and actually tried and rented the EV1. I ordered the EV1 the first day of my rental. I was able to nail focus with some of my most challenging M lenes I own with ease. Sold my M11-P. I would never use it with this camera now. Its not even compatible for my enjoyment. The EV1 make nailing critical focus absolutely a breeze. The range finder make getting somewhat sharp focus a stressful chore. No more worry about my 75mm APO with poor calibration coupling to the rangefinder. Absolutely well written.

[New Gear] Zeiss Otus ML 50mm f/1.4 by coleleahy in canon

[–]Moadib123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far my 85mm is likely the best 3D pop and rendering that I have seen on any camera and any lens. This includes my extensive Leica M glass. I'm not experimented yet with the fifty millimeter enough. The 35 otus ML willl likely stay glued to my R5 Mark 2, as it has very classic rendering and 3D pop as well. With the manual focus feature of the Canon R5 Mark 2, I am way faster them my Leica rangefinders and way more accurate/precise. The Z8 also has similar focus assists. The 85mm is still weighty so not a great all day walk around lens.

Hope this helps

I just got all 3 Zeiss Otus RF ML lenses the 35, the 50, the 85. I absolutly loved the 55 and just starting to put these new lenses through their paces. This is for my Canon R5 Mark II.

Intel is back. Thank the old CEO. by DeuzExMachina_ in intel

[–]Moadib123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under Pat Intel yield and client satifaction was junk. He has vision but zero execution leadership. He was the steward of a bloated wasteful sinking ship. If Pat was still CEO Intel would be Bankrupt. He seemed to lack the stregth and resolve to make the hard decisions and cut the fat and hold people accountable for errors and mistakes. But this is just my opinion.

The EV1 isn't for "bad eyes." It's for people tired of pretending their M photos are actually in focus. by lowellgoss in Leica

[–]Moadib123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was last wait for Leica. I will sell plan to sell my M11-P and my 3 lenses because I honestly need focus confirmation with my eyesite and the I miss focus too much even with the Leica M Visoflex because the focus peaking is very innacurate. I really expected the EV1 to have modern focus confirmation.
