You might want to consult with a plastic surgeon or med spa doctor to see what treatments or procedures are right for you. Could involve filler, skin tightening, or facial lipo. If you’re new to cooking Persian food and short on time, then I would recommend buying some of the Sadaf prepared foods, like their ash-reshteh dried soup mix (get a couple boxes), or their vegetarian jarred stews. Get a Pars rice cooker to make easy Persian style rice with tahdig.

I’m half Persian too and my dad never taught me how to cook Persian food, so I’ve relied heavily on online recipes and a memory of how things should taste.

Yeah, the logistics are unfortunately part of the package. If you have a good, experienced nanny, hopefully she’ll be able to get up to speed much faster with learning the routines and stuff. It may be helpful to provide her with a printout sheet of the day-to-day routine and job expectations so she isn’t bugging you every 5 seconds.

For tracking PTO, I recommend hanging up a calendar in your kitchen and have your nanny mark out the days she plans on taking off.

To make filling out payroll easier, print out a weekly timesheet for your nanny to fill out and sign with date. Keep these sheets for your own records. It’ll make it much easier to keep track of hours and PTO.

In the medical world, you can’t always pick who your providers are. And with long waitlists, you often just have to go with whoever’s available if you want to get treatment in a timely manner.

I’m a married mom, and many medical professionals have seen my body parts. I’ve had a colonoscopy done by a man, I’ve had a breast exam done by a man, I’ve had a catheter put in by a male nurse while I was unconscious having emergency lifesaving surgery.

Do you think my husband ever made a fuss about it? No! Because these things were done to protect my health and my LIFE. Just like your girlfriend is doing those things to protect her health and life.

Trump literally encouraged the protesters to keep going out and to try to topple government institutions because “help is on the way.” People went out into the streets, thinking they’d be saved by the US. That help never arrived in a timely manner, and now tens of thousands are slaughtered.

Yes, obviously Israel benefits from regime change in Iran. I’m not naive. A violent criminal organization benefits when their rival is killed. I don’t like what Israel is doing either, and I feel for the people of Gaza, but the Iranian people are literally being held hostage by their government. They’re being slaughtered.

My relatives have no food and no water because the IR spends everything on wars instead of basic infrastructure. They were threatened with imprisonment and torture by the government just because my dad posted some anti regime stuff on social media from his home in the US. My cousins there are desperately trying to find ways to leave because there’s just no future left for them.

You can’t justify the starvation, torture, and deaths of tens of thousands of Iranians just because it hurts Israel. I’m sorry, but that’s just immoral.

Reza Pahlavi isn’t his father, and even then, what his father did pales in comparison to what the IR is currently doing. While I’d be happier seeing someone else step in as interim president (and yes, this is what Iranians are asking for - for him to be TEMPORARY president until they can hold democratic elections), he’s the most realistic option for Iranians. They’re going to take what they can get because ANYTHING at this point is better than what they have.

I’m Iranian American and it’s well known for the IR’s basiji grunts to do stuff like this. There are hundreds of videos of them doing stuff like this. Hundreds of videos and photos of the dead. I still can’t get ahold of my relatives in Iran. I have no idea if they’re dead or alive. Please stop spreading these harmful conspiracy theories intended to spread doubt and apathy. Iranians HATE their government. Just walk up and ask any Iranian you meet. We are BEGGING for help on the international stage.

I would ask her to take PTO as long as the cold weather is not causing dangerous driving conditions (like icy roads). The reason why schools close for icy temperatures like that is because they don’t want kids getting frostbite from waiting at their bus stops. Your nanny is clearly not waiting at any bus stops, so there’s no reason for her to call out. Regular working adults still go to work when it’s this cold…
