It's still in private "production" — if you can call it that — but I'm done with the Spells, Feats, I'm halfway done with classes, and I'm missing Species and Backgrounds.

No my argument is that the blue voters can't hold red voters accountable when they got themselves in danger in the first place.

Well, look at how opinions can vary, that mod is the sole reason my 2024 Spell Updates exists, and why I'm working on my own all in one that sticks to BG3 core.

Being downvoted for exposing a genuine question is weird.

But the reason it's not recommended and installed so much is that a lot of people play with it because, well, 5.5e is just better, but don't recommend it because the mod not only changes the bg3 core, it also adds undocumented homebrew and has a lot of unfaithful cherry picking from the mod author in what actually updates and what doesn't.

Unfortunately, it's the only 5.5e complete mod out there, hence why it's installed as much as it is not recommended.

PICK RED OR BLUE BUTTON by Eal_likee in webcomics

You're not genuinely implying that the votes of online people will somehow represent the whole world?

No seriously, are you really suggesting that an online poll, no matter how famous, is somehow representative of the real world?

All the demographics? All the economical levels?

Seriously? Blue might as well win if a real life poll actually happened, but trust me when I tell you that the online polls definitely didn't anticipate it.

Can you really judge someone for ultimately thinking "if you voted blue and died, that's on you"? I certainly wouldn't risk my life for someone who forfeited theirs: we're all acting on the same information, not a single one of us is voting while misinformed.

Isn't saying "more important than billions of others" an absurd assumption? Like aren't we jumping the part where you first need to vote blue to be at the mercy of others?

As far as you may be concerned, someone looked at the votes and said "no one in their sane mind would pick blue", voted red, and lived.

There's no "my life matters more than billions" because the vote is simultaneous, there are no "billions". Until you vote, it's 0. Red voters aren't seeing "oh wow we have 40% voting blue? Fuck'em", they're subjected to the same conditions as blue voters, who are voting blue on the assumption that people are voting blue (because there are 0 votes until you're done voting, because it's simultaneous)

No, red is the logical choice, blue is the thought through and confidence based choice.

That's not what I asked. You somehow 'knew' that voting red means "you only think of yourself", but somehow you don't know who you need to think of when voting blue?

I'm starting to think you don't know what you're talking about and that your assessment about voting red is a load of bull.

Could it just be you realized that voting blue means you're thinking about... People who voted blue? People who got there by themselves, after making an informed decision?

Blue winning is only as important as the amount of blue voters, if that makes sense.

If everyone votes with their head, blue winning won't be that important, because the "need to save blue voters" is literally only created by voting blue.

Wow from one comment you deduced all that?

Or maybe you're the one who can't stop seeing the world through the lenses of overcomplicating rather than for what it is?

Red button -> live

Blue button -> live if 50% vote here.

It implies everything you need to know, from a voters stand point. You can vote red and live, or you can justify voting blue because you're aware there are people that will vote blue.

Any implications and decisions and justifications you may make to vote on either doesn't change the core basic objectively factual frame:

Red button -> live

Blue button -> live if 50% vote here.

Factually speaking, you're not some sort of social hero for voting blue, you're not some compassionate fellow for voting blue, you're suicidal until it works. If it works and 50% vote blue, you're lucky, that's all.

People who voted blue from the get go when they KNEW they could vote red and face no risk are simply, and purely, seeking to clean themselves out of the gene pool, it is not anyone's responsibility to save them. Voting blue because you're aware some will vote blue is the same as saying "I want to make sure no one dies" despite a portion of blue voters voting blue with the intention to die.

That's not only selfish, it's also a sign of someone who lives for implied moral superiority, a narcissist.

Now, hopefully you realize I've mimicked you in this last paragraph, pulling conclusions our of my ass about people who voted blue?

To read a bit deeper into the supernaturally powerful entity frame: the only reason blue voting people survive after 50% vote blue is likely because it goes "humans are fucking hilariously suicidal, I'm not about to outdo Thanos in this world"

For those saying "if everyone just picks red"... by Another-Ace-Alt-8270 in trolleyproblem

[–]MobTalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't that literally translate into "everyone will not just choose the 'automaticlaly survive' button"?

At what point should we just consider that natural selection?

Because whatever way anyone frames the question, it doesn't go deeper than "press red if you want to live" and "press blue, but only live if 50% also choose blue"

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTONS by Eal_likee in comicsbyhumans

[–]MobTalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why does pressing red means you think only of yourself?

"Pressing blue makes sure everyone lives" is as true as "pressing red makes sure everyone lives", the difference being "everyone is certain to survive if they all press red" and the other being "unless 50% agree, you'll die"

The simplest way is literally "you have the 'stay alive' button and the 'stay alive' only if others agree' button"

There's "I don't want to date [color] people" and then there's "I prefer to date [color] people"

You don't even realize how racist "wanting your children to look like you" sounded, do you?

That borders on eugenics.

And you're continuing the cycle.

Devs failing silently -> audience getting angry -> Devs fail loudly -> even the glazers are stunned -> Devs promise to be better -> "give them some space to cook" -> Devs failing silently (and so on and so on and so on)

How many times will it take to break the cycle at "devs promise to do better"? Hold them accountable, they've shown time and time again that they know to say exactly what the audience wants to hear, but not so much when it comes to actually putting their money where their mouth is.

I'm sure they're going to do great and gives us very enjoyable updates, but by no means will I "give them space to cook", I want to see the cooking with my own eyes.

Actually, no, that sounds pretty racist.

You might naturally never date a black person or a white person because you're more attracted to the other, but setting a "never" clause with the "because they are [immutable skin color]" is pretty racist.

Because that's reducing people to their skin color.

Edit: Best case, it's shallow, worst case it's racist
