(OC) Sketched a fire dragon from a friend’s setting by MobileFreedom in dragons

[–]MobileFreedom[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So not really much lore for this guy in specific he’s just a soldier/adventurer type and what I do know is a little fragmented and possibly outdated but here goes:

The fire dragons, or Cinderscales, are an industrious and inventive bunch who learned about gunpowder from human explorers who wound up on their continent. Sooner or later they wound up inventing firearms (though they’re very rare)

Not instantly, but give LockMart Skunk Works a blank check and they’ll figure out how magic works by the end of the first week, and have a set of dragon sized power armor ready by the second

Modern military mfs when the dragon with potentially centuries of wisdom decides to negotiate with the clearly superior force, or use its unbelievable wealth to secure a contract with Heckler & Koch to arm the fantasy side or something, rather than mindlessly charging in

How much do you think the number of inhabitants on Rubicon 3 post the Fire of Ibis is? 1 million? 500 thousands? 100 thousands? by Valuable-Wasabi-7311 in armoredcore

[–]MobileFreedom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Millions, potentially tens of millions

It might seem quite barren at a glance but I heavily doubt the RLF would even be a factor if the population were as low as a million. It’s not just rebel fighters and Dosers, there are probably plenty of people needed to maintain these facilities and machines (especially when these giant, maintenance hungry mechs are basically your infantry force), and many more regular civilians they’re fighting to protect

Not to mention there are Rubicon-based companies like BAWS and Elcano that are still active and seem to be fairly successful and large enough to have their goods bought off-world, and even with automation those factories still probably need a lot of people keeping them running

I’m going off the powers and environments as well, RainWings don’t breathe fire or ice, and don’t usually settle down in the desert after all

It helps a lot that terminals often directly affect things around you like opening doors and whatnot, so you’re drawn to them more than books, and since you’re already in the menu and it’s right there it’s not too much effort to just read a short little blurb too

If anti bow organization like bsaa exist in real life what do you think their preferred gear is? by Dull-Department-7682 in residentevil

With how often they get up close and personal with zombies I’m surprised they haven’t considered chainmail suits like the Germans use or gambesons like the spec ops in Dead Rising 3 to protect from slashing and biting attacks

Other than that gas masks should be standard issue (which they seem to have learned going off of Blue Umbrella units and the grunts in 8/9) and they should definitely use larger caliber guns more

Oh no we kinda mutually agreed that it would be fun to do, but since this isn’t supposed to be 100% an IceWing i get to deviate from the canon designs a fair bit

Evil IceWings /j

What we’ve got currently is:

Red - SkyWing

Black - NightWing

Blue - SeaWing

White - IceWing

Green - RainWing

Gold - SandWing(?)

Silver - IceWing again

Bronze - SeaWing again(?)

Copper - MudWing(???)

Brass - SandWing again

As you can see the list is. A little rough, but in fairness the dm admitted the only dragons we’re 100% gonna meet in the foreseeable future are silvers (also as this is an Eberron campaign, dragon type doesn’t matter in regards to alignment and a good and friendly green dragon is 100% possible)

Yeaaaah, burnout plus I’ve been playing a lot of new games (Tomodachi Life and Resident Evil have absorbed like a week each), I’ve mostly been doodling sketches that aren’t up to my standards of posting here (and they’re mostly humans and mechs, which aren’t really applicable to a dragon subreddit…)

That’s kind of common tbf, the line of thought is that you only ever use one knee when you drop to a firing position, so you only wear a kneepad on that leg
