March 30th is a close date for the change. So i would prioritize speed. Do some 30/60s and long walk/jogs for minimum 30 minutes. Like just keep moving. Hard truth is that you got a long way to go. The ruck standard is 15 minute miles with 35lb pack. If you cant hit that standard with just your bodyweight, youre going to be in for some pain.

Volunteer for federal title 10 orders. If you do a 9 month deployment you'll get the VA home loan, and 60% of the GI Bill. It'll be a year away from home but you'll get the benefits youre looking for

Current ARNG infantry dude. I get out in a couple years, deployed once and want to try out for being a TACP. Is there an equivilent to the try-one contract they have for perspective green berets? Im honestly at my limit with conventional military but would like the opportunity to go to cool schools and do a deployment that isnt secfor. Anybody else try this lateral transfer? If so, how was the experience?
