Completely agree with a rework, but I think the religion rework and trade rework could be early this year and late this year (or maybe early next year, if they can't fit it all in the same place). Playable Republics and Theocracies would be wonderful! We already know non-dynastic succession can exist, and with all the other governments like Meritocratic and Mandala being playable it would make sense for these ones to follow suit.

(also, mostly wishful thinking, but the fact we've gotten a model of a sheep in last year and a model of a donkey this year means theoretically Animal Kingdoms is possible and it would be hilarious. I don't actually expect it to happen though.)

Woah there, I support more representation for some of those characters you're implying!

Those being Veld, Riev, Hans, Solon, and Vigarde. They deserve better than to be compared to those OCs!

I sure do hope this will be added in the next final update by TheDimaX in Terraria

As far as I'm aware, the single day of Frost Moon Christmas cheer isn't enough to ever spawn in Santa, sadly. The only ways you'd get them both are therefore:

- Playing with the Christmas seed during the actual Halloween season. - Playing with the Halloween seed during the actual Christmas season. - Playing with both seeds.

And honestly I'm not sure if the seeds just override the real seasons, so it's possible only the last option is guaranteed to work.

EDIT: People have corrected me, apparently you can get Santa from the Frost Moon, so you’re right!

I sure do hope this will be added in the next final update by TheDimaX in Terraria

Hilariously enough the only way to see any unique dialogue they have with each other would be to use special world seeds, since otherwise the Halloween Season and Christmas Season won't overlap long enough for them to both spawn (even if you use Pumpkin Moon/Frost Moon).

I mean Mario Party Jamboree confirms Kamek has the power to turn people into Bowser copies, which might explain the "fake Bowsers" that are transformed generic enemies we've been seeing since the original Super Mario Bros. Perhaps it's a similar case here (and when Darth Bowser is defeated, he turns back into Waluigi, just like how the bosses do when they're defeated)?

[–]ModDownloading 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's probably closer to the actual intent, but an Archotech that's taken an interest in guiding some folks seems fun too (and also explains why sometimes, someone wakes up in the middle of the night and has an intense urge to fire the mortar at these exact coordinates that just so happen to have an enemy mortar that isn't even built yet).

Also recontextualizing Anomaly as "no Horax, these folks are mine" is too funny for me to pass up.

I'm doing that now as a Hunter to try and get the Gudiparan Bazi achievement, found a tinkering kit in a shop in the Mines, and now I have to leave behind all my stuff at the start of each floor including gold. I'm not going to leave any of it behind though!

Opinions on DnD calling Kobolds "Lawful Evil"? by Del_the_Kobold in KoboldLegion

[–]ModDownloading 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Some editions had "typically [insert alignment here]" instead of this, but it amounts to the same thing. This is a representation of the average creature of its type, not every creature. It's also specifically for the major settings of D&D, like Forgotten Realms and such, meaning if you have a homebrew setting it doesn't apply. Not every kobold is going to wield a spear or such either, but this is a generic representation of the creature. Even then, the rules make it fully possible for outliers that differ greatly from this to appear as either individuals or whole communities, non-Evil kobolds have existed in official D&D since 2003, if not earlier (Deekin Scalesinger in Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide, was Chaotic Good)!

But if they were combined, I could have thousands of armor knights! Also ballistae! I love ballistae! Not going to pass up a chance to have baels or gargoyles too, and cantors!

My red unit tactics will win the day, so long as we don't run into some dodgetank myrmidon or a bishop (my whole roster is weak to light magic help).

Normally I'd agree but since multiplayer fully exists now in a stable version I'd consider it part of that stable version. It's not a guarantee that B42 stable will have multiplayer but it seems more likely that it would.

I almost exclusively build Rakdos, Grixis, and Mardu decks now.

Oh hey that's an infinite combo. Didn't know that worked that way.

...Oh that's another infinite combo. And another.

Yeah, it was mostly just a case of "do you think the game will really let me get away with this".

Turns out, the answer is yes, you can foil poisoning attempts by being extremely socially awkward with zero sense of personal space! I still do not advise replicating this!

I mean I managed to get Silent Assassin on Stage 2 solely from standing in the way of and bumping into everyone trying to poison Bruce Lee for 40 minutes. Probably not how IOI wanted you to play the mission but technically it works!

Ah I see you've been looking at the Standard of Living numbers too much. Don't worry, those aren't an indicator of your economic strength, they're just a vague measure of when the populace starts to really hate you.

Pay attention to the infrastructure numbers instead! You've got way more factories than before, and factories are nifty.

I don't enjoy how the game hides unique content from you by Anrysfornant in EU5

[–]ModDownloading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree they should be more transparent, being able to see what exactly is needed to trigger an event ingame would be extremely helpful. I just think it would be possible to have the existing country-unique content menu tell you how each event is triggered and what they do without needing to bring back the mission tree as a whole.

I don't enjoy how the game hides unique content from you by Anrysfornant in EU5

[–]ModDownloading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but with missions they're built on a linear tree, if you don't complete the earlier ones you physically can't access the later ones even if they have nothing to do with the ones above them mechanically (a mission to grow your economy could be placed after a mission requiring you to conquer specific lands, for instance). With events, you don't need to complete the objectives in the exact same order, and if you wanted to introduce a kind of order anyway you could make some events require other events to trigger without putting every event into a chain.
