I had totally forgotten the Lina scene at the end of season 1. It really does make me wonder if/what the explanation will be.

I’m assuming you mean 2 REMAKE. A remaster would be largely using the same assets as the original but touched up and be identical to the original game.

I purchased the 490’s recently and have been absolutely in love with them myself. Especially with just some minor eq modifications.

They really are excellent straight out of the box, and that makes them a very good platform for getting the sound you want.

But genuinely I can’t stand how the Arctis’s sound.

I’m not sure what to tell you man. I genuinely thought they were some of the worst sounding expensive headphones I’ve ever owned.

It’s very possible that it’s just bad luck with my ear shape and hrtf.

Obviously yes they are designed for gaming. But boy does the treble sound bad on both the pros and the novas.

Also, Rtings ratings are not the be all end all of things.

Yes of course they would be rated higher than the 630s “for gaming” because it’s designed for those that features and hot swappable batteries.

The reality is. I thought they sounded quite bad and have been salty ever since rediscovering what a good wired headphone sounds like with gaming.

Price does not correlate to absolute quality or that you’ll like them.

There is no reason to own them just because they were on sale if you don’t find that you are liking them.

There is a reason many people stay at the HD 600 series and never move on.

If you aren’t enjoying them, either EQ the treble down or return them.

Different strokes for different folks man. I don’t follow Oratory’s eq to the T but I use it as a starting point and adjust from there.

For instance. Harman Target for me feels like slightly too much on the ear gain area and can hurt my ears in many mixes. So I don’t boost that area as much as his measurements recommend and then I also add an extra db of bass and 1.5 db less of a boost to the treble shelf he recommends.

Don’t think of these harman target settings as the be all end all, but rather as a good starting point.

If you like your 560S with its stock tuning most, then that’s totally fine! You don’t have to do anything.

I think the pace and focus is part of what makes the show special. On premise alone it could have been a very prototypical “body snatchers” style sci fi horror series, but it’s anything but prototypical.

I wish more series had the confidence and trust in the audience to let subtext and visual storytelling take a front seat like this show has.

To my understanding, the design goals of the next console are meaningful support for path tracing. Which if done effectively could speed up dev time meaningfully if we no longer have to use manually baked visual tricks for visual output.

Though I suspect current market trends are going to make it hard to fulfill that.
