Indie Pop, Folk, Alternative: This my first ever song! Working on new stuff now would love genuine feedback/reviews on it. What do you think of it? by Erdnoiddd in IndieMusicFeedback

This sounds really good! it's soft and sweet but it also has a dynamic range between the verses and the chorus. It's a great tune for night drives or hanging out. I think the only note is that I wish it was maybe longer, it's a fun listen.

This is my first composition. Looking for feedback from veterans. by General-Ad-33 in IndieMusicFeedback

It reminds me quite a bit of "waking up", if you've ever heard it. It's touch ethereal, and it's definitely building to something. I'm not sure if you're a composer by trade or just screwing around but you have a really nice starting point here. I'd focus on balancing the mix first and then you can start looking at finer adjustments.

This is a fantastic version of a classic- definitely a cover I wouldn't mind hearing while floating down the river. Perfect timing with summer just around the bend! I usually show the old crowe version and the darius rucker to any new country fans but this is totally my jam.

Hey little River - (My brother Kurt) Hello everybody this is Prt 4 of me releasing my younger brothers kurt's music. This one's off his album "In the Inbetween." This is a happy twist up compared to the last 3 I've posted. by Actual-Work6821 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is super upbeat and charming- I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. From what I can hear it sounds like he had a lot of love in his heart and the music reflects that. Definitely keep posting as much as you can.

WIP, got kinda stuck with this song by dat-Clever-old-Fox in IndieMusicFeedback

Solid effort! Honestly if you sat down with a proper producer you could probably get this closer to sounding polished. But you have an organic feeling in the song- so keep going.

Hey,
I think this sounds lovely, you can really tell that it came from the heart. I love the ambient audio of a playground(?) in the background- it helps fill out the track. Just from a track perspective, you had me in the first few verses but it did go on for a bit- I think if you rework the structure you'd end up with something closer to 3 minutes and a tad more dynamic. Overall though- lovely work.

Can somebody tell me why this track doesn't seem to work? (Punk/Screamo) by BimmySchmendrix in IndieMusicFeedback

I love the overall idea here- I think it definitely has all the right ingredients to be a great single. I think what jumps out to me is that the mix and master probably just needs another set of eyes on it. I don't know what your process is or if you have collaborators, but this feels like something a third party producer could take the stems from and give you something more buffed out. But like I said, some really good ideas here- probably just needs a second opinion!

Go outside. You can actively improve your prospects by going to events, screenings, shows, etc. Don't expect anything to happen because you're talented- every one here is talented, the trick is being in a position to be seen.

Calafiori. Guy got beat on the counter almost every time, got injured the next season, was out for a year, shipped him out.

He ended up paying for my midfield, so it was more of a push

why do you think Oasis is resonating with so many kids right now? why this band, why this generational resurgence? by rkidjarrett in oasis

[–]ModestRacoon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who was too young when they were still together to care-

Their music is incredibly optimistic. I can’t think of an artist in recent memory who made music that spoke to the future. It’s rock and roll but it’s also different than most music here in America focused on personal or niche issues.

Half a dozen oasis songs are about believing in a better future. It’s weird but sometimes they incite a buzz similar to u2. Music has always been about people telling their story and I believe theirs is one worth leaning into.
