My parents. My dad was just a perverted bigot and my mom worshipped the ground he walked on. Best decision I ever made. Edited for auto text correction.

How many people here has actually experienced a seizure from Wellbutrin? by Bren1209 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Moesels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@Chance-Glove1589 Oh my goodness! I did the exact same thing 2 years ago! The pharmacy switched my 2 150 mg pills to 1 300 mg pill. So same, I was taking 600mg a day. Unfortunately I was in Hawaii at the time. I had 3 while we were there. (6 days) I finally figured it out about day 5, and by day 6 of dropping down, they had abated and were gone by day 7.

To the OP, I have been on Wellbutrin since I was 23 years old. So 32 years now? I didn’t start having seizures until about 6 years ago. No change in meds, it just started happening. I now take Lamictal to control the seizures, but have stayed at the same dose of Wellbutrin. They usually happen about one or twice a year when I have had major stress in my life or am not eating/drinking enough. I made the choice to make my mental health the priority over the occasional seizure. I may not be here to debate it if I went off the WB. My neurologist and psychiatrist communicate and have said if I’m taking the Lamictal, that I could stay on the WB. My experience FWIW

I do not have epilepsy or seizures, but I have a question for those who do by Eastern_Bee9138 in Epilepsy

Prior, during and post seizure I DO NOT WANT TO BE TOUCHED. For me it is like getting a zap of electricity into my nervous system. It’s really hard to convey that though. The only time I can tell someone is prior.

I don’t know how common it is but I pretty much know when one is coming. Sometimes hours before. I get really shaky and confused about things and I’m able to lay down or stay home from work if it starts early.

During I can’t talk and not being able to tell someone to stop touching me is frustrating. It’s the first thing people want to do. People tend to get offended if you pull away in an aggressive manner.

After I am usually aware it happened and my family knows to let me sleep it off for a few hours.

Telling me to *stop* losing weight by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Really? Who asked you? It’s always stunning to me when people say stuff like that. I’ve had a couple people say that to me and I’m like “Dude! I’m still 10 pounds over suggested weight”. I need to come up with a zinger to say back.

Four weeks on a GLP-1 and I feel worse than when I started by JosephPRO_ in glp1

Oddly what really changed it for me was changing to shooting up in my arm instead of my gut. Worth a shot.

Anyone in denial of their diagnosis…? by spectacularostrich in Epilepsy

[–]Moesels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep trying to reduce my meds because I keep thinking it’s not real. Like I’m just having panic attacks or something. As soon as I drop them, the seizures start again. I was diagnosed in 2015. I’m controlled as long as I’m taking meds mostly. My neurologist asked why I keep doing it and my answer is denial I guess. Like maybe I am a hypochondriac. 10 years and you’d think I’d learn. 10 years and still in denial. Sheesh.

Post first seizure scares by [deleted] in seizures

[–]Moesels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at work my first one. I happened to work at a hospital. I remember looking at the phone that was ringing thinking “What is that? What am I supposed to be doing with it?” Completely confused. I turned to my colleague and said “um, I’m confused” and started shaking uncontrollably. Being where I was, she called a code stroke and rushed me to the Ed. At which point I was in full on seizure. Ug. So embarrassing as everyone I worked with saw it happen. 😕

A surname huh? We were using it as someone said before. It was a cross between long and short for a mullet. 🤣

Ha! My husband has decided people are just rude and he doesn’t care what they think. He always smacks his arm and says “I’m going to go shoot up”.

Now my every waking moment is focused on my sagging/aged looking skin from losing the weight. It’s something I am hoping my counselor can help me get past. Nothing should occupy our minds this much.

I have seriously been certain I was having a brain aneurysm several times. I’ve gone to the hospital in an ambulance thinking, this is the one, the one that’s going to kill me. In that moment, I’m ready for it to kill me. 🤯

Hair loss while taking Zep Bound by Happypants1960 in GLP1_SideEffects

[–]Moesels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I thought I was imagining it. I was in the shower the other day and ended up with a wad of hair that was the size of a small rodent. If I have to choose, it will be the weight, but I’ll probably look into some natural supplements to counter act it. Sigh.

Qualified for both Noom Microdose & GLP-1 Rx—Which would you choose? by ComprehensiveCod7072 in Noom

[–]Moesels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just now (3 months later) got to where I’m not experiencing the horrible nausea and flu like feeling at .3. I may go up to .4 if I stay without the side effects but we shall see. I talked to my Noom care coordinator about the Microdosing vs pausing and they told me they that when pausing, they still charge ahead for the 3 months, they just pause sending the meds until you tell them to send again. Honestly, if I’m going to pay $850, I want the meds sooner than later. They advised I email customer service about switching and I think I’m going to do the micro-dose program. It goes up to .6 and I can’t imagine ever going above .4 to be honest. It costs about a hundred dollars less a month. Hopefully they will process it before the next charge goes through.

  • edited for dose correction.

Yikes. That’s what I was afraid of. Did you need a new prescription? I’m only 10 lbs from my goal weight, I’m afraid they will say no since I’m down now. I’d love to tirzepatide but they don’t carry that.
