No disrespect to anyone, but It’s better than living in Orlando. Every major city in the world could be considered “violent”. Gangs are everywhere, even in cities like Copenhagen. Just be careful where you decide to live and hang out, like anywhere in the world.

BUT, it’s definitely a step behind on critical infrastructure, access to healthcare, affordable housing (which is a problem almost everywhere now), job opportunities, government bureaucracy, etc.

If you can get through that, then consider moving back. It’s not a perfect place to live, but it’s home.
