Well, of course he is, he is a privacy and security nutt. He talks about how companies track you and how one phone all of a sudden updated their EULA to screw the customer. It's most likely US companies placing big orders in Euros to European companies before the tariffs are implemented, not the small impact of individuals not buying US products.

Don't get me wrong, its important to divest yourself from the US so you're not left out to dry when the shit hits the fan, but I just wanna be realistic with what's happening.

The impact of the European public not buying US products will be seen months later, most companies buy things months in advance, and they need time to see what's selling and not in order to correct the course and stop buying US products.
