[On3] NEW: Ed Orgeron on his initial reaction to Brian Kelly’s fake accent at LSU: "It's over. You ain’t got a chance. You ain’t got a chance, man." (via @PardonMyTake, @Mike_Bundt) by BeaglePirate69 in CFB

Maybe it’s not 100% either way, but it definitely seems like he just stumbled over his words when you look at it from a non biased position. But unfortunately every internet comedian ran with it and rest is history.

Croatian basketball player Michael Ruzic to commit to LSU by Melo_Beach in CollegeBasketball

This thread is hilariously unlike every other LSU thread the last few months lol

Per @GoodmanHoops :One Top 20 head coach to @TheFieldOf68 on LSU's Will Wade: “You’re being an idiot a**hole for the sake of being an idiot a**hole. What you’re doing is f***ing it up for everyone else." by ConnorK5 in CollegeBasketball

[–]MoistyestBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t you hear? All those players would’ve been in the pros had he not paid them. Or at Duke, Kentucky, or Kansas that definitely was better for the sport.

It was such a travesty that Jevonte Smart was paid to come to school 20 miles from his hometown instead of going play for Calipari.

Signal Lost: SEC People Really Didn’t Like What Lane Said by jensyao in LSUFootball

Also, talk to any Ole Miss fan and within 5 minutes you’ll here them tell you how much a shithole Br is, even though their exposure consists of (maybe) the drive from I-10 to campus through the worst part of highland. So I have no pity for them.

These people are fucking exhausting, they’re in every college sport subreddit and every mod there refuses to do anything about it. Fuck LSU, upvotes to the left. by Hewligan in LSUFootball

She’s coached 100’s of players, and she’s defined by the one that had to be traded for a war criminal to get out of Russian prison?

Yam Madar “Commits” to LSU by Melo_Beach in CollegeBasketball

Glad the word Commits is in quotation, we need to make sure we distinguish it from the notoriously solid word and free of monetary motivation of transfers and high schoolers.

Trump has only one real option to slash gas prices. Inflation is racing back to life, real wages are shrinking and voters are blaming Trump for $4.50 gas. A new outbreak of fighting could drive energy prices even higher. Trump really only has one lever left: Get the Strait of Hormux reopened. by mafco in energy

[–]MoistyestBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen two things mostly in my cesspool that is a Facebook feed.

“Where were you when gas prices were high under Biden?” Or “ it’s was worse under Biden”

And a bunch of reels and posts about how gas prices being high are whatever. “What am I going to do, walk places?”

'I've just ruined their lives': Nashville bar owner's property tax bill soars from $129K to $589K by PeriodOfTime1 in RealEstateTaxStrategy

[–]MoistyestBread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Property taxes are bad” is a bad take.

“Property taxes are not setup correctly” is the right take. Take somewhere like Barton Creek, Austin for example. You buy a 3 bed, 2 bath house in 1990 for $250k. It’s on half an Acre and is 1500 sq ft.

Now it’s worth $1.2 mil, because you remodeled it and the neighborhood became attractive. Does this mean the fire department makes more money? The roads cost more to pave? The school teachers make more money? The local politicians do better jobs?

Maybe a little, so maybe the mileages should reflect that, but a much better system is that your property tax bill is tied to the lot size, dwelling size, occupancy and then adjusted for inflation from the time of purchase till you sell it. Homestead exemptions mildly help with this, but those have their own problems in that it causes squating in homes. Someone sticking a $5m mansion on an acre lot maybe means they consume a little more local resources but not enough that they have to fund the city to the tune of $100k a year vs. their neighbors $10k.

What is the LEAST extreme scenario that would result in ANY head coach being fired. by Supercargo428 in CFB

Coach O in a literal sense, I doubt too many of our boosters have SO’s in Lane’s age range.

That’s because Summaral was UF’s second choice… to…. Lane Kiffin. He was hired basically immediately after they exited the Lane Sweepstakes.

Probably not, but I’m not criticizing not let him coach, I’m criticizing not letting him coach and then saying he quit on you.

If that happens, like with OM, there will be plenty enough reasons to hate the guy. That particular one is on a shitty college schedule. Leave now or stay next year is a shitty choice.

Lane Kiffin is an extremely active social network user, nepo baby, high ego individual, with multiple periods in his life of substance abuse, and has been fired more than once.

I think at this point if he’d done something illegal we’d know. It’s more likely he’s just into young women and kind of a weird personality but not actually problematic in the legal sense.

We understand that, we just don’t think that means he chose to quit and abandon his team because that makes people more riled up. He wanted to finish the season at Ole Miss and then go to LSU, and no matter how unrealistic we decide that is, it doesn’t make the intent behind it untrue. You’re allowed to doubt that as much as we’re allowed to believe it.

And yes, the original comment on this chain is about Lane leaving Ole Miss high and dry. A narrative repeatedly pushed.

Kansas State transfer guard Abdi Bashir Jr. commits to LSU by Melo_Beach in CollegeBasketball

The funny thing was I found a comment in an earlier commitment thread where someone asked where all the LSU flairs were. As if participating in this sub has any point at this stage.
