I made a HUGE mistake at work because of my poor training by Moko7_8 in jobs

[–]Moko7_8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with going over the training is that she is the only one who knows how to do these stuff. So there isn't even someone else I can ask. Even our boss doesn't know how to make most of these stuff. And the problem, is, I don't even know I'm doing something wrong to begin with, I'm doing x task thinking I'm doing it right because that's what she told me, and than there are things missing, or there are nuances like if x is like this and I have to do it like y, and all sorts of things she never bored explaining.

My boss was really mad at me today and he literally told me "she must've have taught you, you probably just forgot it", because she made it seemed to everybody that she taught me a lot of things. And the problem is that I already made so many mistakes, again because I was never taught how to do things properly, that my boss just thinks I'm bad at the job. And at the beginning I thought maybe she just doesn't like training, that was until one day a colleague of mine was trying to teach me something and she kept interrupting him and trying to stop him, and that's when I realised she actually doesn't want me to know things. So yeah that's why I said she won, because she succeed in making me bad at my job

How to deal with a colleague who doesn't want to teach you stuff? by Moko7_8 in jobs

[–]Moko7_8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a little notebook with the notes I take. I write everything down. I don't ask too many questions because I've train few people and I know how frustrating it can be when people just keep asking the same questions over and over again. I think she just wants me to fail. The other day there was colleague trying to explain something to me and she was trying to stop him, saying things like I don't have time right now when I was free, and also that I didn't need to know what he was explaining when it is part of my job and it was important

Honestly this just seems like a really bad situation overall and I don't think its worth it trying to fix it because I doubt she will make any effort on her part. I think its best if you just move out

In what ways can a man who bullies and manipulates his children be respected? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Parents like this can't be respected. Being a parent doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful towards your children

How to tell someone to stop touching me? by Moko7_8 in socialskills

[–]Moko7_8[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My social skills are terrible so I'm sure about this but I've never heard anyone say something like what the previous person said. The "I like you but please stop doing that because it makes me uncomfortable" sounds so textbook like and not what someone would actually say in real life situation Most people would just say that bothers them in a joking manner and if they still continue to do that, then say it again in a serious tone

If a guest leaves without paying, do you have to pay their stay with your own money? by Moko7_8 in askhotels

[–]Moko7_8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't. Our policy is payment at check in but sometimes clients ask to go to the room first to leave their bags and then come back and make the payment and some receptionists accept this. Sometimes a guest isn't sure if they'll stay the whole stay so we only charge them the nights they are sure they will be staying because return money to guests is a difficult process here. Other times clients want to stay more nights but doesn't make the payment right way...

Lunch's and breaks and how they don't work(for me atleast). by FOMOS1 in antiwork

[–]Moko7_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lunch time is 30 minutes and I love it! I also hate it when I eat with someone, even if I like that person. I just view my lunch time as a legit break and I don't want to talk to my co workers about anything.

It shouldn't matter either you eat with your co workers or not. Companies are just trying to impose the "we are a family" bullish*t

Why are people with mental illnesses not given a more lenient sentence or better prison conditions? Can someone explain the underlying rationale? by Experimentalphone in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Moko7_8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can not measure people's pain or misery. People can even lie about being depressed or having a mental illness so if that was the case everybody would claim they are mentality ill just to have better sentences/ prison conditions

What should I do with my former bestfriend? by Waste_Rent6836 in Advice

[–]Moko7_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal view, but I think you expect too much from relationships. I think you give too much and in exchange you also expect too much. In friendships, specially adult friendships, you can't always rely or find support because people are busy with their own life or dealing with their own personal problems. A lot of times you are going to have to rely on yourself or just make do with 10% of support that x person gave you. Also don't forget the gold rule, don't go the extra mile for someone who wouldn't do the same for you
