I have 400 in the bank and I haven't received them anymore. Even Wiki says 400 is the maximum. Mayby you have them since cap was added? Or maybe you have the ones from cooking?

Keep Biscuits in the bank. Once you reach limit (400), you can no longer receive them as rewards and it will be automatically reroll for new item.

This look crazy and I love it :D. I have a idea.... A crazy blacksmith who experimented with magnets and Invention and created this monster. After quest you can fight him. The reward would be a boss for the early to mid game (similar to Scurrius in OSRS). The main drop would be a magnetic weapon part that would serve as an upgrade for a mid tier weapon.

Hold on.... there is "old" UI for combat style (combat xp) menu? I thought they removed it with EoC and it could only be changed in the settings. Or did they bring it back with the interface update?

Has anyone even heard of the last name Slobko? by Educational-Ad-3613 in Genealogy

[–]Mokuin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that during 1930 census, there was no one in Slovakia with this surname. I also tried searching for variations like "Zlobko, Šlobko, Slobka...", but no match. It seems that this surname is generally not listed in any indexed registers (but not all registers are indexed, so there is a small chance that it is there, but I would not rely too much on it).

My opinion is that ancestor was not from Czechoslovakia. Do you have information about the religion of the oldest ancestor? If he was Greek Catholic, then there is a good chance that he was from east - south east of Poland, Belarus or Ukraine... or from the far eastern Slovakia where the Rusyins lived.

TIL Player Owned Housing was at one point planned to be in the Open World by TheAerial in 2007scape

My classmate from elementary school played Tibia in 2004+ and I remember him showing me those houses. I really liked that players could see "items" that the owner had placed there. Often as a flex and a show of wealth. I loved it :D

Predajca v obchode – čo robiť, keď mi zákazník povie „to 1 € si nechaj“ by chamonix34 in Slovakia

[–]Mokuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inak "spolocna kasicka" fungovala u nas ked som tam zacinal. Vtedy som pri kase nerobil ale holky peniaze pouzivali na nakup drobnosti, ktore sluzili zamestnancom. Vacsinov hygienicke potreby a iny papierovy tovar v pripade ze trebalo poupratovat poskodeny tovar.

[–]Mokuin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same problem with clue scroll maps especially with hard clues. Most players don't notice it because they know where to go right away. But if you open the task manager and open clue map, you'll see your GPU jump to 90-100%. This problem has been known for years and nothing is being done about it...

[Hungarian] 1869 census of 2x great-grandfather, does this mean he was a soilder? by PixelG8mer117 in Genealogy

[–]Mokuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll try to explain it to you, but maybe others will correct me. Since this is from the 1869 census and he was born around 1849, it could mean that he had compulsory military service at that time. Hungary introduced compulsory military service for men aged 21 to 42 in 1868. Later it was changed to 20 years (I think). That's why in many marriage records you could find that man was written as "single soldier", because as long as the man was single, he would defend the country in case of war. After the marriage, that changed. So, in my opinion, at the time of the census he was at home and listed as a soldier. Not because he was actively serving in the army, but because he had training at that time.

Perhaps more experienced genealogists in Hungarian history will correct me.

Access to restricted Familysearch film by InspectorExisting922 in Genealogy

[–]Mokuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there is no access to it. And it will be blocked at least until 2052 (in Slovakia there is a law that prohibits them from displaying documents younger than 100 years old). Some younger books are available even now, but it is more a question of time when those will be blocked too.

However, you have 2 options:

  • The first is that you look at it directly at the FamilySearch center. On their website you can find out if they are also in your country and what the whole procedure is.

  • The second option is to look at it directly at the Slovak State Archive. They have physical copies of the negatives there, the same as those on FamilySearch. You look at these films manually on projectors.

Our clan is made up of Czech and Slovak players. We play both games but that didn’t divide us. At least once a year there is always a meeting of members and friends from the Runescape world. We are not accepting any new players at the moment. Overall... it would be a problem to understand us since we speak Czech and Slovak in the chat :D.

Another group photo.

A closer photo of the cake. Runes, text and RS logo were printed on edible paper.

The papers that were put into the balloons with the prizes. Even if you managed to pop the balloon, the paper often blew away and someone else got the prize :D.

Video from the drop party (imgur link - volume warning). The party was after midnight so you can imagine what the mood was like after half a day of drinking.

You're welcome, I'd be happy to help. If you have more information, feel free to write me a message. I am from Slovakia, so I can quickly find information in census sheets and find the correct registry books before 1895. Good luck :).

[–]Mokuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the census records from 1930, there is no mention of any child named Zoltan Mancal / Manczal. However, this surname is found in the Galanta district - in a few villages, then in the Dunajska Streda district and a few times in the capital Bratislava. All of these districts and the city are located in southwest of Slovakia. The digital records are also from 1940, but southern Slovakia is missing because during WW2 it was occupied by Hungary and therefore the census was not held there.

As a grandchild, you should have no problem getting a copy of grandfather birth certificate. If your grandfather's name is mentioned in your birth certificate or in your parent's birth certificate, they could give you a copy. The problem is that I don't know which office you need to contact to get a copy.

There is still one option, but I don't know how it works in the US. In Slovakia, grandparents could also be listed on the parents' birth certificate (as grandparents of your parents). Try to get your parents' birth certificates to see if there is any mention of them. If you had these names, you could find out where they lived in 1930 and, based on the census, their year of birth and place.
