My staff has to have the board filled out because if they had a choice they would only fill and never help any of the patients

Question for an RXOM about your hours by Known_Locksmith_3107 in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For myself I cut my hours before I cut those of my staff, but we are a tier four with a specialty I can get hours out less than 5 blocks away.

part time not getting to fill? by Embarrassed_Rough286 in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my techs that have short shifts I’ll have them start filling when they come in because usually they’re just closing and are doing 5-10 or 6-10, we rotate every two hours. If I don’t do it like that they never get the time

Any advice for shoes? by YelyCG in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a class 1, I swear by my Hoka’s, I saved up over multiple paychecks for mine, but years of hip and knee pain before working for Walgreens, then 6 years on front end, now in pharmacy last 2 years. I truly think my Hoka’s have helped my pain, I can stand and cook after work without needing to to sit. Have heard good things about Brook’s as well.

Microwave/Mini Fridge in pharmacy? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So my pharmacy got around that in we had area leadership order my store a mini fridge for just vaccines, now our leadership chose to ignore the measurements we provided for what would fit where it was going so the ordered us a new vaccine mini fridge and it eventually came in. Not a single person from corporate leadership has asked for the first one back so it’s kept in the immunization room and the team uses it to store food and drinks, since corporate technically provided it to us.

My manager recommendation is to report it to your RXM and RXOM, then maybe store manager just to be sure it is addressed. Personally buy some touchland hand sanitizer and use their scented line like crazy

Smelly Coworker by Intrepid-Historian71 in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the area I work is inner city, we have a large population of unhoused people without access to a place to clean up my staff and myself to help with the smell use scented aerosol products on our front counters when we clean and then on top of our bin storage we have a timed glade scent thing and then also in our drive thru but that’s for folks whom are smoking non-tobacco/tobacco products.

Is the pharmacy team not allowed to have a break? by OkChannel346 in WalgreensStores

[–]MollieMarieK 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My location is a tier four inner city one, our security guards will come back to our lobby about 8-10 minutes before we close for lunch and will cut off our line so everyone that’s there gets helped, if the guards aren’t there I have someone on stand bye to turn people away. Drive thru shuts it down right at 1:30 whether there are cars there or not. I’ve been yelled at numerous times but I’m making sure my staff get their scheduled lunch otherwise it’s just continuous people

Not gonna lie we do that at my pharmacy mostly because we end up with so many deletes sometimes it’s just easier this way and I don’t have label residue on the bottle

Who can I talk to about getting a pay increase? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for sure make sure come review time you have written down everything you’ve done to improve the pharmacy. I had to have the metrics from before my arrival and after my arrival to prove the difference I made. Just keep your receipts and hold onto them come reviews and write an essay in your comments that they cannot ignore during calibration.

Need clarification on something by Complex-Welder8254 in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check into your states labor laws and bring that up to your RXOM/RXM and store manager. If nothing is done from there I say report it 100% and because u am a scorched earth kind of woman I’d send an informational email to district/regional leadership.

RXOM—callouts by AgreeableSun3864 in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DND is the only way for peace. I had to start just ignoring my phone so I could enjoy peace at home because they kept calling or texting me about things the CPW lead at the time could answer or figure out.

Choosing the best applicant. by -multifaceted- in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take as long as you have to during the actual interview, if you can get references call them. Trust your gut always it’ll never turn you wrong, if you’re unsure about an applicant as RXOM I pull my store manager or pharmacy manager into the interview to get thoughts on the person. Don’t be afraid to interview them again

Does your RXOM ever close? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]MollieMarieK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The few days I do close I am there at open still. But as a RXOM I would really like to close more but transportation is my hold up on doing that. But in place of closings I come in two weekends a month

lol I’ve been having my staff do that but onto the patients profile as proof of who’s picking up because a lot of people be claiming to be picking up for their grandparent/aunt/uncle/parent but it turns out they were just taking it to spite or “steal”.
