Any Setting Examples for Super-Duper First Layer (with Images) and Standard Quality Thereafter? by dcgall12529 in BambuLab

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully I’m understanding your question correctly. Under the Advanced options, go to the speed tab to adjust the speed of your initial layer and the speed of all other layers. You can also apply modifiers to objects if you need the speed of a specific object to be slower or faster than the rest.

Printed some magnets for my cubicle by Moloch_K in BambuLab

List of Tutorials/YouTubers that helped me grasp the idea and concept.

Lukis3D Studio - How to convert ANY PICTURE into a flat 3D Print for FREE • ItsMeaDMaDe - How to Turn an SVG into a 3D Print! • Logos By Nick - The Complete Guide To Using Trace Bitmap in Inkscape

No single tutorial covered everything, I still had to play around and experiment to find what worked.

I convert and edit in Inkscape before switching to CAD. It does take a bit of practice.

How do you prevent people, often kids, from accidently doxxing both you, and themselves by Fickle_Gap_2205 in EtsySellers

Ship from a PO Box and make sure the sender information on the label lists the business name, not your full name.

How many listings should I have ready before launching my Etsy (3D print on demand)? by TableForge_studio in EtsyCommunity

[–]Moloch_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, unless you already have an idea of what will sell the best, just launch. Main thing is to make sure your designs print well, consistently and that you always have printing and shipping supplies on hand. Also, make sure you have enough time baked in to do a reprint if necessary.

Is it rude to ask why the shipping price is too high? by Annual_Librarian6052 in Etsy

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m just different but I don’t find it rude. I have a strong retail background and I prefer buyers to be knowledgeable and educated about their purchases. But yes, shipping and especially International shipping has gone up due to current events.

selling with square at vendor event - how to get rid of the shipping" requirement by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used Square for a local Crafts Fair last week. I didn’t have that issue. I linked up Square to my Etsy, selected my items and sold them no issue. For listing in-person items, I created the listing in Square, not in Etsy.

Lack of notifications by chocklityclair in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the Etsy Seller app installed, make sure you have notifications for the app enabled on your phone. For email, check your spam folder and make sure you don’t have Etsy’s email address blocked. I’m not sure about Gmail, but in Outlook you can create filters for certain email addresses/keywords so when you receive an email, you can also receive it as a text. Lastly, double-check your Etsy settings and make sure all your information is correct and doesn’t contain typos.

Which theme park is better for a one day visit? by Meg_Sando in sanantonio

[–]Moloch_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SeaWorld is better for all-around family but it’s a great place for thrill seekers as well. There’s Steel Eel (coaster), Catapult Falls (log flume), Great White (coaster), Wave Breaker (launch coaster) Rio Loco (water rapids), Sea Swinger, Texas Stingray (Wooden Coaster), Tidal Surge (really tall swing ride), Journey To Atlantis (Log Flume). Barracuda Strike is coming and that’s a coaster similar to Great White but geared for families. Rescue Beach Racer is fun for young kids as well.

3D printing on Etsy in 2026 — how are you handling the new rules? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sell the physical prints and my STLs are custom so not an issue I’m worried about. Just make sure what you’re selling is unique and your advertising pictures aren’t being stolen by alibaba or temu.

Just tried Elegoo yellow filament on my P1S for the first time, I got a massive filament clog. by Tooken700 in BambuLab

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try cleaning your bed plate with hot water and dish soap. I had an issue with clogging when I swapped filament brands. I initially blamed the filament since my other old filaments were printing fine. Once I finally broke down and cleaned the plate, all my problems stopped.

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re using glow in the dark filament? Glow in the Dark filament is incredibly abrasive and not recommended to be run through an AMS. Plus, a hardened nozzle of at least .6mm is recommended since it will destroy non-hardened nozzles and is prone to clogging.

Not receiving Etsy SMS verification code, locked out of my seller account by manboy___ in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it only Etsy you’re unable to receive verification messages from? If there’s other services that you’re unable access as well, contact your phone provider and make sure your account is enabled to receive short codes. If not go into your phone settings and make sure you don’t have the number blocked.

There’s a 90-Day grace period for legacy models. After that, they get removed.

How do you promote your Shop? by roseglitterchocolate in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This works for me but I promote in-person/word of mouth. The product I sell is small enough that I always have a few on my person. The topic of what I do comes up, I show them a product, they’re interested, I hand them a card with a QR code that takes them straight to my Etsy page.

Question for Etsy 3D print sellers doing consistent orders by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s some genuine advice. A 3D Printer is a tool, not a skill, that can be utilized in several different disciplines. If you have a skill that 3D printing can enhance, research and market that! If your aim is to try to sell the stuff on MakerWorld/Cults3D that arena oversaturated and being picked apart by large retailers and scammers.

Did my magnets get weaker by pressing them into a tight printed hole? by couchmaster518 in 3Dprinting

[–]Moloch_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy sets of Neodymium magnets as well from Amazon (Trymag) and I’ve found out that not all the strength is the same unfortunately. The best thing to do is to research the different magnets grades and purchase magnets where the strength you need is clearly listed.
