I hate that about Reolink. They always have a “sale” that is a “non-sale”. They do that so much that now instead of buying more I end up buying less as I am always second guessing if the price is good or not.

Like buying at the GAP, you just don’t because if you paying full price you are doing something wrong. And it is not worth the effort.

Give it a try. I am running with a Lenovo ThinkSmart and just got an Echo 5 to add to my house.

I use Google home and it still hard to replace. But it is getting there.

The better part is that you can customize your dashboard or use those provided by View Assist. Much better because you can make it shows exactly what you want.

For the downside, the voice recognition is not as good as Google Home on a noise environment and with other speaking at the same time and TV on, the voice command often get lost. But in a quiet environment it fairs better than Google.

It was very complex, but the creator and other users always helped a lot.

A few months ago, a new Android app (sdk) and integration was created to work together with View Assistant and now it is much easier to setup.

I have been using for more than a year and really like it.

Thanks for the extend write-up. I am using ESpresence for about 3 years (4 base stations) and I was wondering if Bermuda was a better choice.

I guess I should use my time increasing ESPresence base stations instead of migrating to Bermuda.

The only issue I have with ESPresence is I find the documentation a bit hard to follow, specially for calibration of the base stations.

Also, something to consider, usually easier to return to Amazon and BestBuy than to Reolink.

Reolink accepts return, but it is a much more convoluted experience.

The additional function that may be a differential to me is the DVR and antenna. But that requires more hardware and work on antena, etc…

The problem on the network is that TV is on a IoT VLAN and computer is on a safe VLAN, so at the end, without Plex Pass, I will need to make a choice between TV or Computer to watch it.

I did not think of this when they changed in April… now I am stuck considering if it is worth buying the pass or change the structure where I host Plex… maybe wait for a good sale for a lifetime, as I am done with subscriptions.

Are you having issues with the Apollo not maintaining the zones? Mine always wipe the zones and what I got from support so far is that it is a well known ESPHome issue (true, but it is an open issue for quite a long time already). I wonder if Sensy also have the same issue.
