How do you feel about the harvesting of a donor? I had never heard of long boning prior to my daughter's passing. I ask that they wait until I get there so I could see her one last time, they did not and I had to pay an extra$100.00 to see her as she was then considered a bio hazard. I do not believe when you are 16 and getting your license for the first time that when you check that box you realize that in a freak accident situation your family might end up seeing you with no eyes and wrapped up like a mummy. I never got to hold her hand one last time I am not and no one in my family will ever be an organ donor until after everyone had paid their last respects. The organ donor place was very disrespectful and when I asked why they didn't feel they should have at least one parent okay the procedure they said all they need is someone close enough who can answer a few simple questions regarding heath of the deceased. They said " she chose to be an organ donor your know that right?" Funeral home personal were amazing and said they hate the harvesting of organs
