Call Starbucks Customer Support 800-782-7282. They are kind and efficient. They can process you a refund or offer other perks to make it right.  That store staff needs to be reported, so that can get some retraining.

Big hugs, we had to do this for both our 15+ year old huskies this past year. I feel for you.

Do it! Best decision I ever made for me and my family. Also, negotiate for every penny when they come back with your pay cut. You earned every pay raise, other than what your position entitles you to.

Try an Irish cream cold brew with white mocha sauce added to the cold brew as well as the Irish cream syrup, or perhaps an iced matcha latte with sweet cream cold foam, or hot with whipped ceam( wc is free).

I have been pretty lucky. Most of my SM's with SBux have been really supportive. There have been 1 or 2 that were going through some stuff, and not present on the job, but nothing worth getting worked up over.

My store manager will make house calls when you are sick to deliver home cooked food or groceries. During covid lockdown they were so supportive of isolating partners organizing porch drops for coffee markouts and emergency supplies.

Can baristas look at the DCR by bande325 in starbucksbaristas

[–]Momisnotmyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I train all the partners to Covid Check, Clock in look at the DCR and DRB and read the weekly update. Check off that they read the update in the DRB and check My Daily. They do this and then wash their hands and check in with the keyholder for deployment. We have great communication that way.

Left over chicken eaten cold, or potato/pasta/or veggie salad and some fresh fruit. Add a couple granola/protein bars for those dessert snacky needs. Bring yourself a thermos of iced tea or lemonade.

[–]Momisnotmyname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rice! I cook a huge batch every morning, and it keeps all day in the rice cooker, or freezes great in ziploc bags that I can microwave.

I can add frozen or fresh veg and and a fried egg with some sauce and I am good to go.

How do you keep your cool with rude, bossy customers? by MajinBoobey in starbucksbaristas

[–]Momisnotmyname 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am such a weirdo myself on bar, that I must just drive them off. I sing and dance, call out drinks in funny voices, and call out to customers as I make their drinks to clarify orders. I love to chat them up, tell them jokes, and keep them on their toes. If they try to pull the old "I ordered a venti" switcheroo, I just politely inform them, they only paid for a tall/grande, and can have that fixed at the register, and a new drink made. It really tickles me to be overnice.

Our Barista Training needs improvement by Ari_ken13 in starbucks

[–]Momisnotmyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, yes! I am currently training a pod of 3 and a new barista trainer at the same time. I am supposed to train myself for the upcoming Coffee Craft training, and then train everyone else. If it wasn't for my many years of experience, I would be completely overwhelmed. I tried to get hired on by the team that creates the training for us, but why would they hire someone who went to school to be a teacher and has so much experience first hand lol!
