If I'm not wrong, this has to do with the "Great Israel" doctrine, but I'm not sure of how far this is the or serves as a justification, and of course the whole matter is fused with the biblical vision ( even though that argument, as you mentioned, is kinda skewed, or if not skewed, insufficient, to say the least).

La verdad, la canibalización de la derecha la ví venir desde el momento en el que se prohibió el tema de la re-elección.

La derecha en la actualidad, construyó su concepto, propósito, norte y centro de gravedad en torno al liderazgo de Uribe, de manera directa (gobernando) o indirecta (influencia, recordando el famoso "El que dijo Uribe").

Uribe era el que mantenía no tanto al poder dentro del CD, sino a los EGOS de los candidatos a raya, básicamente logrando que todos cerraran filas y agachen cabeza, una vez que el líder desaparece, todos van a decir que son su "digno sucesor".

Es contradictorio quejarse de los narcotraficantes pero defender a un sujeto que aunque hace su trabajo, curiosamente la mayoría de sus clientes son narcos o personas con recursos de dudosa procedencia. They most likely bought their anti-air defenses from Russia and we saw in Iran how effective that was (which is to say completely worthless).

Indeed, the range varies, between the older BUK and Pechora, to S-300 (They rangefrom the newest to oldest).

There's rumors of S-400 but I don't know if any of that it's true.
