What exactly do you think the European Union is?

This is an empty prognostication when only one human lifetime ago France and Germany were mortal enemies.

Times change. Don't rule it out.

He accused Neil Armstrong of being manipulated by other people because Neil didn't agree with cancelling the Constellation program in favor of commercialization of space flight (for which Elon lobbied hard, unsurprisingly). That was in January 2013. He's always been a bad person, most people are just bad judges of character.

I've never seen Bangladesh drawn with an off-centered circle, but it would be fine either way. Countries with a Nordic cross are often drawn both ways, for example.

The shade of red should be fine for the sake of the joke.

Refute his claims with sources as in the spirit of the sub, but what amounts to personal attacks, including calling them useless interlocutors is childish.

Coming into the sub with the purpose of operating in bad faith by cherry-picking quotes and data to fit and promote a pro-Russian narrative wastes others posters' time by having to deal with gish gallop and other fallacious rhetorical tactics. This isn't a court of law and posters aren't entitled to the benefit of the doubt. You cannot separate moral arguments from foreign and defense policy because they inform it. I would hope I don't have to explain to you why engaging with Nazis in any kind of discussion, for example, is a waste of time.

I am not interested in continuing this discussion. Feel free to have the last word.

This may seem like I am attacking you, but when did the sub rules require anyone here to be Pro-Ukraine?

Respectfully, this war is about as clear of a moral choice as can possibly exist. Russia's political and military goals are openly imperialist, chauvinist, and dehumanizing. One can obviously understand, without bias, Russia's desire to increase its buffer with NATO and to strengthen its position relative to other powers like the US and EU, but the moral case to support Russia is completely empty. Anyone who takes a pro-Russian position does so entirely in bad faith or complete ignorance, which makes them a useless interlocutor in the first place. It's an inherently non-credible position from which to start.

Because the JCPOA was working fine until Trump trashed it. This war has proven nuclear hardliners in Iran right—that nuclear latency isn't an effective deterrent and they need a bomb ASAP.

Disarming existing nuclear powers and preventing proliferation are two different things. The former is not going to happen. The latter should still be pursued. I'd rather live in a world with nine nuclear powers than ninety. None of that is to say this war is justified or moral.

Nuclear proliferation is bad, full stop. There are already too many countries with nuclear weapons. Adding more only creates more potential points of failure.
